To been able to go back in tim & see them in person. Southern Gospel just doesn't get better then this. I love Chief's big voice, so much passion. R.I.P. Chief, Jake, Hovie, Doy, Denver, Rozie, etc. I know your all singing together in Heaven.

I have to put my vote in for the London Paris and the Rebels Quartet version of this song. London really sounds like he's from "South Georgia". The Big Chief sounds like he's from South Ohio at best. I have the audio but no video to post of this if anyone is interested.
I'm sure that the Statesmen and Hovie Lister seranade those who dwell inside the pearly gates. What wonderful voices. I always feel better after hearing them sing........
How good it is to hear The Big Chief. It's been a long time since I've heard him do this song. Thank you for sharing alot of good memories. What a wonderful collection you must have. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful song and great job on the recitation by Big Chief Jim Wetherington! Thanks for the upload.
This is as authentic as it gets since the Chief was an avid South Georgia woodsman and hunter and actually wrote the words to this recitation.
