@TheSplatVIDS In this case, I didn't use a real amp such as Fender or VOX. I plugged the bass in ZOOM G2Nu Phone-Jack directly. Then I cut around 2kHz and distorted the sound slightly.

Thanks so much for this video. I was trying to learn it from the recording but could not pick out all of the subtleties. How you did it, I don't know, but kudos to you, sir. This video presentation is done perfectly for learning also. Laid out in a way that is very clear to see and hear exactly what's happening. I'm learning much more accurately and a bit faster now. A supreme job, really top notch. Thanks again for helping me out.
Thank you so much! Your cover is the most accurate one I've seen and heard. You nailed the playing and the tone. Your RIC is beautiful. The Rosewood on the fingerboard is stunning.
Hi, very important question. Is the music "Rain" being picked up by the C910 camera, or did you embed it in your video editor? Because it sounds real good, and I wanna figure that out before I buy one :)
BRILLIANT absolutely BRILLIANT. Wasn't even a fan of this song until I saw you play Paul's Bass Line and it's just a very cool riff. Thanks for posting. I absolutely LOVE it.
@kocuhu When you've finished "A Day in the Life", can you make covers of "I am the Walrus", "Back in the U.S.S.R." and "Helter Skelter" the next months?
@TeamMastaPr2 "A Day in the Life" will be uploaded in June. I don't decide what would be next. But I have to say "Back in the U.S.S.R." and "Helter Skelter" are too hard to trace the original bass line.
@kocuhu When are you going to do the Abbey Road Medley (if you play each of the 2 parts without seperating the songs like you did too Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and With a Little Help from My Friends)?
@kocuhu For information: Paul used the Rickenbacker on You Never Give Me Your Money and Mean Mr. Mustard (in Mean Mr. Mustard, he used distortion - rather called fuzz bass), and Hofner on Sun King, Polythene Pam and She Came In Through the Bathroom Window. For the part 2 of the medley: Fender (I don't know if it's Fender IV or Jazz bass) on Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight and back to the Rickenbacker again on The End. On Her Majesty I can't tell but it's only one bass note played (5th-fret D).
@kocuhu Oops! I mean Hofner on You Never Give Me Your Money, sorry for the mis-information, it's Hofner on every song on part 1 of the medley except for Mean Mr. Mustard.
Excellent Master, I was looking for this song and you came up with it, you done a great job covering one of my favorite McCartney's Bass line. and thanks for sharing.
BTW, here's request - I Want You (She's so Heavy). The tricky thing about that song is that McCartney does little variations from verse to verse on the bassline and it's relatively long, so you have to keep up with the verse you're in and get the variation right.
Excellent! You always show the economy of movement that I think was a McCartney signature in his playing. I've seen this tabbed out where it has a lot more movement up and the neck which is not how I think McCartney originally played it. I think your fingering is very close if not identical to what McCartney did. Unfortunately we can't say for sure since they stopped touring so early and we have so little live video that shows great detail of what they were doing. Once again, excellent work!
Charly esta interpretado con este mismo modelo de bajo, es una maravilla que conservo desde el 67, gracias por esa maravilla de demostraciones.

is that the neck pick up turned up full?
beatlefan247 5 months ago
@beatlefan247 I used a neck (front or bass) pick up only.
I turned the bass tone control 180 degrees and I used EQ after recording it.
