  • I LOVE! this movie

  • I hope in the Broadway musical, they add more to Sarah's part.

  • Sarah gtfo. There's plenty of us who would GLADLY kick your ass to get at Jack.

  • @DropThatBass5567 There are plenty of us who would GLADLY kick Jack's ass to get at Sarah..........Wanna trade?

  • @DropThatBass5567 There's plenty of US who would GLADLY kick Jack's ass to get at Sarah.

  • Oh my god Sarah go away he's mine!

  • I love how the guys take off their hats when girls come around.

  • I love Racetrack! <3

  • I love the look that "David" shoots "Jack", when "Jack" calls "David" the walking mouth.

  • Jack <3

  • I think Spot is my favorite characters in the whole movie! "BROOKLYN!"

  • tumbler and skittery ^.^ so cute

  • GOD DAMMIT LES YOU ARE TOO FREAKING CUTE FOR WORDS!

  • The Newsies are a lot of things , mainly RESPECTFUL .. i know it has a lot to do with the era but i love that they take off their caps and headwear when around females.

  • This could be the theme song for the Occupy movement!

And I hope to God that they pick up on it.

  • Another reason why Sarah's stupid: Compare the way Sarah gives out the papers to how Racetrack does it. Sarah's all in people's faces and saying "TAKE THIS" "READ THIS" whereas Race's all serious yet friendly like, saying "Y'know how to read? Read dat, all right?" I dunno about you guys, but I wouldn't appreciate some [ugly] lady being bossy and telling me to read something, but I do appreciate somebody figuring out if I know how to read first and politely handing me the paper.

  • Still gives me chills when everyone starts coming to join them!

  • man if only my school did awesome musicals like this instead of shit ones no one turns up to.

  • This movie is great, but the transition to Broadway is not going to be as successful.

  • @ztslovebird you never know lovebird maybe the Broadway adapt will be actually very enjoyable

  • @mets2128 I'm not saying it won't be enjoyable; there are many talented people in the show, and many talented people working on the show. But Broadway and this movie-musical may not be entirely compatible.

  • @ztslovebird People walked out of West Side Story in droves. Look what happened.

  • Brooklyn!! SPOT I LOVE YOU!!!!

  • BROOKLYN! F*ck yeah.

  • 3:51 yeah, you better move that bike!!

  • i love how spot say "brooklyn"....thats b/c im a BK chick 4:00

  • 4:00-yes!

  • Extree extree Joe read all about it.

  • pulitzer's such a kid...plugging ur ears solves all the world's problems...

  • 1:26

    :O nice uniform!

  • this is my favorite part with my favorite song...once and for all...this is such a very important part of the show people said i was nuts for liking that song this movie is one of the best disney was ahead of themselves before musicals were cool.

  • when those guys walked by after the win i would give them each another punch in the face

  • at 1:48 did i here the kid say " hey read this crap"?

  • did he governor say "Diosgraceful Denty" ? haha wtf is that like a pet name.

  • Jack is the one who is street smart and David is the voice of reason..... as friends they complement each other.

  • "Extry, extry, Joe. Read all about it."

  • "BROOKYN!" -Spot :)

  • @amandaemmaline yes!

  • This song is the best other than carrying the banner

  • I love how many times Spot props to Brooklyn

  • "Once and For All." My favorite song in this. <3

  • anyone else find it funny that jack's shushes them when they get into the basement cause the guy is asleep just above them, yet he doesn't wake up to the sound of the printing press running all night? hahaha

  • "BOOKLYN!" I LOVE SPOT!

  • Remember Mr. Shcnider, the first thing you do in prison is make friends with the rats, share somthing in common with them. lol crippi

  • I love the govenor! Good ol' Teddy Roosevelt! Saves the day for everybody. He truly was a president who wanted to help "common man". He made New York City at a time when it was the top corrupt city, took the crime down and fought in a time when cities were disgusting and business was disgusting.

  • I love the song at the beginning of this scene! It's my favorite in the whole movie!

  • It's called Poetic Justice!

  • extree extree joe read all about it

  • kind of fitting with current events right?

  • 3:39 I yelled so loud. I was cheering and singing along.

    I cry, I laugh, I yell, I dance. I don't get into a good movie or anything. :P

  • @ginnnyrules13, That's exactly like my dad! He LOVES the Sound of Music!

  • Haha, using Joe's press is as Seinfeld might say: one *magic* loogie.

  • joe's so childish. fingers in the ears? wow.

  • @pepinobalarin It almost looks like it's a medical thing or whatever. Anyone know what's up with Pulitzer's ears?

  • I LOVE JACK KELLY

  • this is what socialism is.

    SOLIDARITY FOREVER!!!!!

  • this is August 5th, 1899.

  • no matter how many time i listen to once and for all it still gives me goosebumps

  • 3:43 always sends chills down my spine in an oh so good way :)

  • @sumle85 i thought i was the only one!

  • Lmao!"make frends wit da rats!" lol I luv this movie!!!;D

  • I love this movie, not just because it's part of the real disney (not that crap they come out with now) but because my grandfather was in a union. He was a union president. This movie stresses the importance of unions and how big corporations don't have our best interests at heart. God, I miss the '90s. (And that's not just because I was a kid then, I just filled out my first college application. P.I.T.A, Note to self, when you're a teacher, SHOW THIS MOVIE!)

  • one of my favorite musicals of all time!!! I don't care what the critics or the box office had to say when it was released with its songs and choreography (this type of dancing is so much more than just dancing) it will always be gold!!!

  • "its awfully nice of pultuzer to let us use his press" "yea i just hope i get to thank him one day" haha

  • If only it really happened like that...love the movie...always thought it was one of the best I ever watched.

  • ilove mush n spot n jack

  • One of the best musicals hands down!

  • sarah got the best gig to pass the pap. hot, sweaty and sexy, buff men!!!

  • @itachilsea SPOILER

not to mention the fact she gets jack!!! she may have been a minor character but she got the best parts!!

  • i want people to break out into musical numbers randomly in public!

  • @MUSICisLIFE1429 Join the ever growing club. When I start singing in my house, my parents think I've lost my mind.

  • @ginnyrules13 same. then my brother just tells me to shut up. he doesnt appreciate broadway at all which is a shame

  • @MUSICisLIFE1429 My parents sing random songs all the time at my house-- a majority of them polkas (my mom's polish) and it drives me crazy. My dad falls asleep during musicals, and my only sibling is my dog! Oh well, at least there are fellow newsie lovers on youtube. Is the soundtrack on Itunes? I can't find it at all.

  • @ginnyrules13 hahaha! no, the soundtrack is unfortunately not on itunes. but im pretty sure you can order the actual soundtrack on cd from like target or borders. thats what im going to do because i gave up on waiting for itunes to put it up

  • @MUSICisLIFE1429 My birthday's coming up in a month. I've been trying to convince my extended family to give me cash (so I can save up for a Kia Forte) and so far it's working. Maybe I can get my parents to give me the soundtrack. Hey, last year it worked. I just wish Itunes would have it. I mean, this is a great movie, they'd make a ton of cash (and we'd run up our parent's credit cards.)

  • @ginnyrules13 and @MUSICisLIFE1429 Can I join the group too? My parents tell me when I sing or watch a musical, any musical (and I quote) "Will you shut up with those stupid songs! They don't mean anything, the stories are stupid and you're stupid to like them. You are making a fool of yourself" Like you said-Thank God for musical lovers on YouTube

  • @sumle85 sure, join in. I like to sing in the shower, and my parents can be heard singing what ever I'd just sung while in the shower. Gets annoying really. I can't watch musicals with my parents without my dad falling asleep. The only one he likes is the Sound of Music. Disney songs have such a great message in them, these ones especially. Watch how the mighty will fall, pulitzer may own the world but he don't own us, and many other great lines are the reason I still watch this movie.

  • "well joe we only use the best so once again id like to say thanks" blank look haha soo funny :)

  • Two people missed the like button <3

  • brooklyn!

  • I am sooo in love with Spot!

  • lol crutchy: see whatcha got in common!

  • i love the first song!

  • wow! so great!

    i <3 racetrack

    i <3 this movie!!

  • @lynxsys254 I don't think it did at first, but somewhere along the line it stopped being about equality and started being about how much men allegedly suck. That was probably around when it was decided that taking your hat off in a lady's presence is a double standard. Nevermind the fact that it's a sign of respect.

  • OHhhhhhhhh i am falling in love with spot!!Like no joke hes hot with and without his hat on!!n this came out in 1992 we are watching it in music this is actually a reaaaaaally good movie!!<33

  • lots of spot fans haha

seems like everyones in love with this kid. lol

someone explain what it is that is so ridiculously captivating about him that everyone is just nuts about!?

  • @hawakinata well i'm a fan because he has a STUNNING smile and he just has a lot of great lines

  • Trey Parker is the kid with the eye path (Kid Blink)

  • UGH!!! Y did the tape have to end right before crutchy slammed the door!!!

  • jack touched sarahs leg as she crawled out the window

  • i love how crutchy is crippled but yet he can dance lol (i dont have a problem with cipples) lol

  • Technically it was a compromise. The higher price remained but the newspapers agreed to buy back any unsold "papes" at 100 percent.

  • Thank you mr. roosevelt for building our national parts and helping the boy scouts.

  • I REALLY hope you meant National Parks..

  • yes i meant to say national parks

  • @MoonlitTeardrops

    ..LOLL ^^

  • This is a great movie - great music, great dancing, I love it. I've watched it four times this past week....

  • Such a shame that not many have heard of this movie or liked it. I really really like it. But it was considered a flop by most people.

    Too bad...

  • So was "Shawshank Redemption" and "Citizen Kane" when they came out. Now both of them hold the titles of the top 5 films EVER made!

  • @soccerstar5930 I've actually never met a person who didn't like this movie that had seen it. And randomly, I've found several people who have!

  • @soccerstar5930 Yeah, it's a great piece of entertainment. It's no classic, but it DOES have an interesting storyline and of course the musical numbers really elevate it. Great film to put on whenever any campaigns like this take place to inspire audiences for persistence.

  • @soccerstar5930 i think if it was not a musical more people would like it. For some Reason most guys are turned off it.

  • im a guy and i think its awsome as a musical, there all great singers and dancers, i love it

  • i have driven mi family nuts by singing this at the top of my lungs all day( once and for all)

    GO NEWSIES!!!!

    i love them!

now i can see it, thanks for putting it up.

  • lol brooklyn!

  • Never fear, brooklyn is here!

  • spot looks like a mixture with my friend leon and my sister's friend james! hahahahahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • spot looks exactly like my best friends brothe, no lie

  • ya he look just like my cusion when he was yonger...and kinda even now...its so weird

  • lol! What's sad is this took place only about a year or so before President McKinley was shot and T.R. became President.

  • im falling in love with spot(:

  • Seize the day!!!!

  • <3 4:00

  • i got tingles when all the kids came out.

  • Same/

  • always get tears at that part!!!!

  • I love this! This and Les Miserables are both really powerful musicals!

  • Agreed completely! They're probably the most inspirational musicals I've ever seen. I wish that they would make Les Mis into a movie (WITH the music; we have a movie without it already, but it isn't as good as the novel or play).

  • i know! and michael ball should still play MArius, cause he's good at it. some of the other musical actors should be in it as well...hmm......

  • the song "once and for all" is definitely my favorite part of this movie by far. always a really powerful scene...

  • I first thought, at around 7:00 and a bit after, that Pulitzer was gonna push Jack out the window! I mean, just look at the way Jack sorta steps up into the frame and Pulitzer is just going nuts, all it would take is one little shove.... lol.

  • lol there's like over 1000 ppl they'll catch him then storm the building and throw Pulitzer our lol

  • lmao "It's like the end of the world! Oh dear. I didn't just say that!"

  • Are they shouting "strike" or "Jack"?

  • strike!! :-)

  • strike!

  • This was 1899 for your informations.

  • 1889, but who's counting? They actually say the year in the prologue/intro

  • 1899*

    shit.

  • i love the brooklyn leeder!

    "BROOKLYN!"

    GO CRUTCHY!!!!!!!

  • i like the way the newsies took off their hats in front of the girls. it was sweet :)

  • @kathy950 I know. I wish guys still did that.

  • @kathy950 most of us guys used to have a lot more manners back in those days...were more gentlemanly too. Hehe.

  • we're watching this in music

  • crutches fucking owned that sona of bitch.

  • Yes! this is my favorite song!

  • Once and for all

  • Ahahahahahaha!!!! ends just before he closes the door XD

  • It looks like Sarah is a newsie-ette

    Yaaaaaaaaaaay Crutchy! :D

  • Once and for all is my fave song on the movie!

  • sarah is SO FREAKING LUCKY. T_T

  • Once and for all

  • thankss

  • once and for all

  • Hey, I'm curious here. Why didn't this come out in Broadway???

  • Because Broadway people are lozers... ^_^ I'm totally kidding

But seriously. This would have kicked some major arce on Broadway!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ***** all the time!

  • wow, joe's a loser. he's getting so worked up over the newsies, lol. sucks to be him.
