@SPERANZA65 yes I've been going since 1973..when I picture The Turf in my mind I still see it the way it was in this video rather than how I see it today...I bet quite a few City fans love the place given your results here since the 70's !!! ..lets think 6-0...4-2...6-1... bloody hell....
@ralphtheclaret do you remember it in the early 80's?, :-), always enjoyed my visits to BFC, lovely people, lovely club, and from a Man City supporter since 1975 - God bless Burnley.
I bought this VHS at Rough Trade Records in San Francisco. The counter clerk was Pushead who was probably America's best known punk illustrator after John Holmstrom and Legs McNeil.
@Jupitroid I remember that guy! There was this person pestering him for his drawing he was making on this small scrap of paper or a white bag and he told the person no he couldn't have it but next got snatched away. I was too young to know he was a known artist but I told him "Man I hate it when they do that to us!" because I'm an artist too and did have my stuff at that age destroyed by mean kids and later taken from me just like that or if I walk away and half done artwork is stolen.

just recently discovered u tube via my mobile phone am fuckin addicted. got the vinyl but never seen all the videos .also marks interviews are fucking hilarious what a wind up merchant.
By the way, it's "Under Marble Millichp the F.A. broods..." Bert Millichip was chairman of the F.A. from 1981 and oversaw the downfall of the game (in many people's eyes).
The sheer brilliance of "under marbled millichip, the FA broods" should be acknowledged as the finest piece of poetry ever comitted.. well that and every single moment of Stuart Halll's commentry!
Rubbish. Haven't these idiots heard of melody? Anyone can do what The Fall do and their singer, Malcolm Smith has no clue about vocal melody. I saw him being interviewed and he was also being a smart ass. He needs to wise up and get with the program...
No, Smith had fired him off by this single, on the gatefold sleeve 7" there's a picture of Riley with the Smith=penned words of "thought you'd seen the last of this didn't ya??!!"
I'm Australian so I have absolutely no bloody idea what this song is about (apart from something to do with soccer obviously) but based on being introduced to The Fall through Wings I bought Perverted By Language and loved this track on it. Kick's arse. If only you could crystalise British music from about 1977 to 1982. The kind og song that makes me wish I was in a cool band like The Fall.
Well then you would miss this track because it's from 1983 (-; Talking of 1982 though, I think the two FALL albums from those years were their best - Hex Enduction & Room To Live. 1981's mini album SLATES was excellent also.
Yeah..hasn't Turf Moor changed in the last 25yrs!!.... i'm a life-long Man City fan but always had a soft spot for Burnley...i even live in Rossendale now!
