  • I'm so glad they didnt give him a proper latino voice.

This is just too funny and awesome at the same time.

  • I got the advantage, you got nothing!!! HA!!! XD

  • I wake up every morning to this.

  • Start Running -in a raging voice- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!

  • Start Running NOW is my favorite intro xD

  • I thought those guys were modest.

  • When I here El Blaze's voice I think of a white man in a suit that works at the Bank XD

  • its rey mysterio

  • It's like a south park voice actor voiced him!

  • mofo sounds like he's a gay superhere LMFAO, supermacho to el rescue!!

  • To be fair, El Blaze's terrible win quotes were half the reason I got into VF5.

  • My body is an unstoppable...

    (dramatic pose)

    ...weapon!

  • Salida funcionamiento... ahora!

    Or something like that.

  • wow what a modest guy

  • when he said "start running....NOOOOWW!!!" um.... seriously? really?! i think that phrase is a fail from both the developers and El Blaze's height, i mean c'mon! he's as small as fucking rey mysterio :P

  • This guy should have done the voice for Captain America in MvC3.

  • This guy is tight, but his voice is fruity -_-

"Do you smell what El Blaze is cooking?" Better ^_^

  • Love this guys voice!

  • IMAGINATIOOOOOOON!!!

  • start running.........NOW!!!

  • El Blaze sounds so American! With hilarious voice acting!

  • HE SOUND TO MUCH LIKE A NERD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Mike23186 A nerd would actually care about how well he acts, so no. :3

  • Start running....NOW!

  • 619

    Rey Mysterio

  • @Iori400 same what i say

  • @kirbyfanist

    :)

  • El blaze is the mexican tim allen.

  • Bah, the Japanese will never understand, its all just a show to them. Lucha Libre nowadays might be corrupted by other wrestling federation's ridiculous story and corny drama, but back in the day, a luchador represented good or evil. El Santo was to all Mexicans a real-life superhero. I'm talking about he always wore his mask, and had fake cars and storage houses were he would drive in wearing the mask and come out in his civilian identity. It was full of honor. Its all corrupted now.

  • He sounds like a retard just like wolf did in vf4. but he is a fun guy to use and his charisma is very funny.

  • ill be invincible beyond my imagination *kick* fell on the floor ROFL

  • El blaze fights really good, yet he is soooo corny XP

  • My body is an unstoppable...Weapon. That one actually is badass =)

  • El Blaze: I am the ultimate.

    Shadow: Chaos... Spear!

    "I" and the ultimate.

  • @Ragnamune

Fool, Shadow's puny spears mean nothing to El Blaze, who just stated that he is invincible beyond all imagination and his body is an unstoppable...........................Weapon!!

  • I'm not trying trying to be stereotypical, but when I look at him and El Furete, El Furete has it all, even that accent, which is awesome.

  • They have COMPLETELY disgraced Rey Mesterio. But it's not like the subpar personalities of the WWE are much better. . . or maybe that's what they were going for.

Couldn't they have at least gotten an actual Spanish to do his voice? I mean, sure, he'd sound even more stereotypical, but in terms of actual voicework quality; it can't get any worse.

  • Are you kidding?

    His voice is freaking badass...

  • @dusk112

I'm willing to accept the voice, just not the way it was done.

You can tell that the guy who did El Blaze's voice was reading it from a piece of paper.

The guy's a "voice actor." Meaning he is supposed to become the character he's playing and say his lines (as actors do).

But this guy doesn't even sound like he's trying! And if this is the best he can do, it's a very disappointing performance.

  • @BlackAnimeAddict Maybe the point is you're not supposed to care? Maybe what makes El Blaze so fun is that you don't take him seriously and you just play to fight, not for story purposes.

You want characters with good dialogue and serious (i.e convoluted) backstories, go play Tekken.

  • Yeah, but it's to American. He should have a Mexican accent.

  • Beyond ALL IMAGINATION! HAHA I love that one!

  • best new of al new characters for current fighting games

  • I've got the advantage

    you'e got JACK SHIT

  • Such cheezy quotes! That's el blaze for you!

  • The Last one is my favorite!

  • Those are the worst quotes ever. EVER.

  • he's got the advantage

    you've got nothing

  • el blaze is thw best

  • Start ****ing...NOW!!!!

  • Start ****ing...NOW!!!!

  • start running NAAAAAAAAOW!

  • HA! YAAAHHHH! HOTDOG!

  • My body's an unstoppable..........WEAPON!

  • i lol out of control when he does that quote hahaha.

  • lol 0:15 and 0:00

  • El Blaze is one of my top characters of the VF series. He have a great personality and equal fighting style, a badass character at end of day!

  • El blaze is really cool but i think wolf is better and thats y el blaze went into the tournament he wanted to defeat wolf

  • Bardzo mi się podobają Quote'y El Blaze'a - szczególnie ten pierwszy Ending 0:15 :D

  • HEAVYWEIGHTS ARE NOTHING TO ME!

  • cephiros, you wrote, "I've got the advantage, I've got nothing." You supposed to say, "I've got the advantage, you've got nothing"

  • Still, gotta love El Blaze.

If they got a voice actor with a little emotion, it would make him a better character, I think. =P

  • Actually i am the ultimate.

  • I am the ultimates!

  • he sounds ridiculous because he's much smaller than wolf or jeffry but his voice is just as deep, if not deeper. His voice should be lighter and have a mexican accent.

  • He reminds me of Ultimo Dragon kind of

  • I see it too. XD

    Bryon

  • The voice actor has a voice that sounds like he has no emotions, so thats why Rl Blaze sounds " Stale " if you know what im saying

  • El Blaze should have gotten a voice actor who can speak Spanish and possibly had a Mexican accent

He should have said, "Can you feel the heat?" or something

  • Blame the producers for that one. Hell, at least they speak their native language in Tekken 5.

  • Upon further review, they, in fact, do this. Sorry about that.

  • I'm sure Sega can do that in VF6. :D

    Bryon

  • @RedKnightTheGreat Very good call, and that definitely should've happened.

  • @Ronnock Yeah, "Que se joda!" could've worked remarkably well

  • @RedKnightTheGreat No need for your stereotypes, please

  • @NMFlemzy That's not a stereotype... He's a luchador which is really only popular in Mexico. It only makes sense to expect a Spanish accent from someone who resides in Mexico

  • @incognegro21 I was referring to the last line. Clearly an Eddie Guerrero reference.

  • @NMFlemzy Ha my bad. completely missed it. Never was a big Eddie Guerrero fan myself to be honest. My bad.

  • @RedKnightTheGreat El Blaze should have gotten a voice actor, period. Instead of some random foreigner who happened to walk in front of the AM2 studios.

  • @Lioyd1rving Like who? I can honestly picture Antonio Banderas as a voice actor.

  • @HeavyMetalBeliever Anyone. Seriously.

  • HOT DOG!!!!

  • start running.....NOW!

  • ''I am the ultimate!'' Sounds like Shadow the Hedgehog.

  • ''Start running...NOW!!!'' Lol.

La Mariposa from DOA was probably inspired by this guy, lol.

  • Heavyweights are nothing to me.

  • Why can't he make comments like, "Yo quiero taco bell" or "Hey, ESE, can i mow your lawn, Holmes?"

Seriously, he's the least Mexican-looking and sounding guy I've ever seen. And he should have be customizable to bring a large sombrero and guitar. And there should be an option to put tacos and burritos as accessories.

  • Lmfao

  • Yeah, I love his cheezy over the top wrestling lines. But it would have been much better if he had a heavy spanish/mexican accent.

  • can someone customize him like viewtiful joe o.o

  • Good stuff, I enjoy playing as Rey Mysteri... i mean El Blaze :D

  • AHeehee

  • there needs to be a mixed martial arts fighter now a fighter that could use Brazilian jiu jitsu and ground and pound also they should add tae kwan do if they ever make vf6

  • If El Blaze spoke Spanish, then he wouldn't be El Blaze. No, El Blaze speaks in something much better. Segabonics.

    And BTW: START RUNNING.......NOW!

  • most definitelly! His english voice sounds so.... bleh.

He'd be saying something like this:

    "Empieza a correr... AHORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

    "Que esperas? Ven y entrale!"

"Yo tengo la ventaja, tu no tienes NADA!"

"Yo soy invencible fuera de imaginacioooooooooon!"

"Si! Pesos completos no son nada pa' mi!"

"Mi cuerpo es un arma... imparable!"

    "Soy lo ultimo!"

I'd change some stuff to make it sound even cooler... like a real mexican.

  • Sega still can't get good english voice actors for Virtua Fighter. They should have just had Blaze speak spanish.

  • my body's an unstoppable

    wabbit

  • Start running....NOW!!!!! xD

  • HEs A PSYCHO

  • He would have sounded so hot with a Mexican accent. What a shame.

    "My body is an unstoppable

    WEAPON!"

  • Any reason as to why they gave the sexy Hispanic character a cliche white boy voice?

  • Some please give Blaze better win quotes, Peace.

  • damn DAMN!! THA BLAZE is the Ultimate! great character!

  • what are you waiting for? come get some!

  • LOL. "I am the ultimate." I love VF for it's terribly corny quotes in english.

    -Mikeymike360

  • Lion is French, Jeffrey is Australian, and El Blaze is Mexican. None of them have accents of their natrionality.

  • neither does wolf which makes him canadian.

  • i really think he should speak in spanish after all hes a mexican wrestler isnt he?

  • agreed x10.. or at least with a mexican accent. I'd have more fun using beat knuckle on him then.

  • el blaze rulz!!!

  • el blaze aka rey misterio !!!! ;o woaahhh

    exelent .

  • HAY GUYZ CAN ANYONE TRANSLATE THIS!?!

  • LOL sounds like El Blaze has been hagin' with Elmer Fudd. "My body is an unstoppable...Wabbit!"

  • my body is unstoppable! rabbit hehehe

  • LOL now that you say that, it kinda does sound like he's saying "rabbit"

  • Is that why he is called El blaze.... To look upon his face sets your eyes on fire!! .... your EYES ON FIRE !!

  • "Imaginaaaation!"

El Blaze once fought a bear with his mask OFF! no seriously, there was one witness and he was blinded by the incredible sight in fornt of him, and now he writes songs...

  • man , shoudn´t he be speaking spanish?,stupid lazy japanesse designers

  • I second that.

  • Yeah, he should... or at least he could speak english with spanish accent!

  • That's too stereotype.

  • No, it's not. It's only a stereotype if he's Mexican. I don't know if he is or not because he's talking like an American.

  • Well, there are some Chicanos that speak standard American.

  • stfu

  • I've got the advantage, you've got nothing...HA!
