I think her voice is so unique, and Fantasia's was all over the place. Fantasia sounds like a child when she sings but Diana is incredible, she sounds like an adult and she was only 16 here! She should have won hands down.

Vocally, this may very well be the best performance on Idol that I have ever see, from 1:48-2:10 is such an incredible show of vocal range and control. True, her version was a tad fast, but I still feel that she did a great job with it.

This girl sings far beyond her years! At 16 and she can pull THIS song off? PHENOMINAL!! Like Carrie Underwood, this girl delivers and sings with such emotion and conviction! I heard this song sung in church this morning for Mother's Day, and Diana can't TOUCH the girl that sang it, but is VERY close! I've almost cried a number of times after hearing this song. I'd never heard the song before when I first heard Diana sing it, and I thought she did great. Then I heard Celine's original, and realised how mediocre Diana's version really was.

Diana hit every note perfectly, but there was no feeling in it for me. And yeah, the arrangement was much too fast, but I agree with o0bers - there are time constraints in place here.

I think part of the reason it was so fast is because of the time constraints for their performances. I kind of liked it faster, it takes away the emotion of the song but it's more entertaining to watch.

I think the reason they sped it up is because they wanted to be able to fit the bridge with the high notes and all. I think what they should of done is arranged it like Antonella's version. Where you can fit the verse, bridge, and power chours. Not sing it like Antonella just arranged it that way. But kept those big notes in. You know what I mean.

what pisses me off is that Nigel said that the background singers' heavy berathing was caught on the mic and it seemed as if it was Diana's.
