Capt Eddie, I love all your turning tips and am wondering if you have any tips for gluing end grain to end grain without having to use a dowel for strength? I really have'nt had much luck with CA glue for this type of gluing. Thanks,

I like your idea and will be trying your skew profile.
I have a small skew/bedan type tool I made that really works well and now i know why, it's sharpened like you suggest.
