  • never apologize for being a proud omnivore.. if we were lower on the food chain, we would be the subject of nature films

  • man, now thats the life

  • I've had steak cooked in beer over a campfire, and I think it's one of the best things I ever ate.

  • Oh really? wow ok I take that back then (lol!) sorry I could have sworn they're aluminum.

  • @ZebbMassiv No problem...There's plenty of Alzheimers here to go around :-)

  • mmmmmm fuming Aluminum. Enjoy the Alzheimer's.

  • @ZebbMassiv Where is the aluminum? The keg is steel. I can take a photo of it right now as it sits and rusts. The fry pan is cast iron. It was inheirited from my grandmother who lived into her late 80's; sound mind and body. Are you offended that I didn't use a Molson keg?

  • @TheLimbReaper wouldn't matter if it was aluminum because zebb is wrong. aluminum is not the cause of Alzheimers disease. inhaling aluminum fumes will cause respiratory problems but! you obviously aren't inhaling the fumes and what tiny bit of fume is no worse than boiling water in an aluminum pot, which is very common. Now lets see what else, oh ya aluminum takes extreme temps, much higher than a wood stove to cause it to melt and smoke so ya, i doubt there is anything wrong with this.

  • @TheLimbReaper I'd be offended if you used a Molson keg. That ain't beer:) I drink Heineken

  • @ZebbMassiv that's a stupid old wives' tale. aluminum doesn't cause alzheimer's. aluminum is one of the most common elements in the earth's crust. everything you eat, plants, animals, contian aluminum.

  • im liking the stove dude and im liking tool at the end cool vid man

  • @mountainboarderuk Oh hell, I'm an ass! I hadn't watched this for a long time. So here I was watching to see what tool I used in the video. I forgot Schism at the end. I use Tool a bit in about 4 other vids.. Thanks!

  • Nice

  • I made two lamps from mini-kegs. 1 Coors Light and 1 Heinken. I guess now I need the rocket stove version. Real men cook with beer and a risk of being blown up! Also more proof you don't have to be from the South (like me) to be a Redneck! Time to make some Deer Chili on the stove, of course with beer.

  • @HighTechRedneck1958 Man, I'm from Pennsylvania. Some call it Pennsyltucky. We're not far from Pittsburgh (pretty rural area) and believe me; if Redneck is a race, we're doing quite well in that department. Yup, I've got a couple kegs waiting to be transformed to lamps. Just waiting for them fellers to run that new thing call "electricity" to the shanty...LOL.

  • Oh yeah and Guinness stout!!!!!!!! It took me a while to get used to it while in Scotland. I remember it was pretty expensive but I met and old man who used to give me and my Finnish colleague a stout every time we visited him. He was our guide for the Scottish outdoors.

  • But this is HD. 720p is the first resolution considered HD. I usually shoot my GoPro footage in 720p but my laptop won't export the video in HD after editing so I must lower the resolution to 480p and that leads to lower quality of my latest videos...

At some point my laptop was able to export in 720p but I get an error message. :-(

  • @catascouts I can't figure it out why I'm uploading in HD when I have the camera set to normal quality resolution. It cn be set to a fine resolution but that takes so long to upload.

  • @TheLimbReaper Well I guess your cam has regular resolution 720p. It's not only the resolution that I loose (when i lower it to 480Pp) it's the sharpens of shapes in the video as well.

Too much technical details - I can use Ulead Video 11 - and keep the sharpness but I don't like the editing possibilities it gives...

I'll just upload some raw footage from the bike tours. Editing without keeping quality frustrates me. :-)

  • Nice work!

Never say "sorry" to a vegitarian, Feel sorry for them, perhaps, but never be sorry for eating meat!

  • @MrBillTroop73 Ha, that was a pointed comment on my part I guess. Thanks!

  • Ha!

Pretty neat! I was wondering what to use for this. I might buy one keg for this project.

    Thanks for the inspiration!!!1

  • @catascouts We all need a good reason to consume a little beer every so often.

  • Perfect idea :)
