Also, my comments to the performers: generally, good work. Good energy, good projection. Nice robust blend, but vowels could overall be much less spread. Your biggest issues are rushing (this arrangement makes it easy to rush, but that's part of the challenge) and sensitivity to dynamics—everything was homogeneous and generally loud. Remember, a lot of you singing at mp-sorta-kinda comes out mf to the audience! Anyway, great job, and keep singing—it only gets better from here.

Oh, I'm singing this tonight! It's a little confusing at some parts and the hollerin's a little weird. Only comment I have about this version is their entrances weren't amazing. It's very well done besides.

We're singing this, and we SERIOUSLY have to stomp and clap and do the hoe-down stuff. We grab partners and spin around. It's intense, and very fast paced. We're directed to sing as if we're raging hillbillies at a squaredance bar.

I sang that about 15 years ago in the New Jersey All-State Chorus. We didn't have the percussion, but it was still pretty cool. It's a shame about the skipping, but what can you do?

i like this song but in the video the skips were getting annoying...you should just let the 3/8 bar be heard instead of editing over it which makes it worst

I didn't try to edit over it, I did downloaded this video with a very slow computer, not suited for video editing so it skipped. It started skipping worse throughout the whole concert and this was the last song. I'm very sorry.

(im on my boyfriends account..so dont message me). i sang this song in 10th grade. i still have the recording. this song was 32 pages long, a pain in the ass, but it was worth it. we also didnt have the musical accompinants, besides the piano. i still remember every word :(
