  • Saw Saltimbanco in November 2011

    Amazing

The best duo trapeze I've ever seen

  • Saw Saltimbanco in Sydney this year, and I walked out of the arena speechless......IT WAS AMAZING. This was my first cirque show and there are many more to come

  • They act in perfect sync! No wonder they are twins. I don't dare to imagine what could happen if the slightest mistake was made.

  • Really? Creepiest ever? Haven't been around much I guess. Maybe just too many burgers.

  • Without a doubt, the creepiest shit I've ever seen.

  • someday im gonna be in cirque du soleil.

  • i used to be a singer. im ready to be cirque du soleil to make a living.

  • They are CRAZY!

  • That is incredible! Absoloutley incredible! Cirque du Soleil is absoloutley AMAZING! This act has to be one of my favorite acts.

  • This is one crazy mind blowing act/performance good job

  • the best circus in the world... and they are from Québec, Canada

  • Damn their precision is perfect!!!

  • The music is ever so fine :)

  • that is soo AMAZING!! expesially the end part, the cameras shouldnt cut to the people in the freaky makeup on the ground so much though- thier just scary and its takeing time away from the fabulous trapeze act

  • That's just fantastic. 8D Props to the two on the trapeze. That has to take a ton of strength, muscle control, and lots of trust.

  • ...^_________________^

  • Yo.. no soy capaz de expresar lo que siento al ver a esta gente... Gracias..!

  • A lot of thye people who do this act are mostly sisters or twins

  • /watch?v=rTMbd5HG6Do

  • i have just been to see the show and it was heart stoppingly fantastic

  • @kellyando I know i went on sunday in london and one word- wow!

  • This is utterly fabulous! I MUST see a live performance before I depart this Earth!

  • how can they do that???????

  • Man I would've loved to have seen this for real. These girls are amazing!

  • OMG every time i c this i get so scared like i just tense up waiting for one of them to fall....

  • Surrealista.

  • this is surreal!!!

it's like they're mirror images of each other!!

  • wow!

  • Hermoso!!! Me encanto! Divino!, Divino!, Divinoooo! :D cinco estrellas!

  • This show is Saltinbanco. I like this part.

  • which show is this in varekai?

  • fantástico .......... fantástico ....

  • yeah i know them i work with them they taught me what i know now!

  • This is unreal. not human.

  • Yesterday I saw this at the E center in Salt Lake city and it was ....... amazing doesn't even describe it.

  • after we've passed, as all species do, will we ever be held in wonder for the beauty we made?

  • I guess we'll never know, my friend ...

  • You really have to trust your partner. zomg this was great! :D

  • holy...god... i wet mesself.

i was thinking, yeah, all right, two of them on one trapeze, what can they do. and then... jesus, they look so tiny and fragile but these girls must be strong as oxes. oxen. whatever. fuck all strong!

  • you pervert!

  • OH SHIT i would piss myself even looking at the trapeeze

  • Mizmore icle iza piva tio deeee!!! :D

I used to sing that :P

  • WAKILAILAI

  • @k3sito thanks por that bit of lyrics, I just LOVe that song *-*

by any chance, do you know which language is it?

  • @V00Rozen cirque du soleil have their own language like they take some words in many languages but they invent a lot of them .. it makes it unique =)

  • @ariann03 oh... well, that's understandable (sorry for my Spanishy English XD!), being the really creative company it is :)...

  • @V00Rozen haha Spanishy English :3

  • @V00Rozen invented, all the tunes from saltimbanco are just strong sounds mixed together.

  • @k3sito Some of the shows use base languages too, like Corteo being italian, but with the languages like french is a majority used in most shows, but they will in some shows use gibberish with them.

  • simply amazing, fantastic. Respect!

  • Wow, amaizing!!

  • For anyone who's interested, this video sync's up super nicely with 10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2) by Tool, I think it might work best if you start the song about 1 min or so into it. In anycase, I thought it was niffty.

  • Mesmorizing

  • That's not good grammar!! ^^

  • excuse me but I AM NOT ENGLISH and i do my better to improve english and grammar is my difficulty ok? What should i say? This is not twins??

  • Amazing!

  • WOW like I mean WOW!! that was amazing I loooved It! WOW!!

  • that takes trust lol :}

  • @crunchy225 Good for them that they are twins :P

  • Beccep?!?! You were trained by arguably the greatest trapeze performers in history?! Josaine, you are related to them?!!?! I feel as if I am among celebrities!! :)

Please both of you tell me more, what are htey like in person? Do they train constantly? How did they themselves get into trapeze and from what age? I want to know so much, because I am 15 and really want to start trapeze myself!! ^^ THANKS! ^^

  • Yeah, Ruslana and Taisya (I can never spell her name right) are both extremely strong.

  • those are karye and sarah tho....haha they are exremly strong

  • I was refering to the twins that they saw in Halifax (during the arena tour, which is w/ the Bazilys)

  • oh cool,

    u no ur stuff, r u A performer?

  • That's funny yesterday (january 3 2007 ) I saw the show but the two girl doing this act was the Senchihila twin

  • the steben twins arnt in cirque anymore.

  • Do u mean 2008? In that case you saw the Bazilys, not the Senchihinas.

  • jeez u no allot about circus, r u a preformer also?

  • the best trapez act i saw in my life

  • yes, it is karyne and sarah steben, and i am VERY proud 2 say that they r my trainers :)

  • Where do you live nd how did you come by them? Congratulate them for me! They are stunning! I live in London and am 14 yrs old, really wanting to start trapeze!! I hav a feeling it is my calling only just discivered. I love physical stuff, but have had no previous gymnastic experience, nor am I very flexible or strong :( what should I do?

  • Yes, the name of this song is called: Amazonia. I have the song, only, it's a little bit different than this song. this song is 7:50 min the original is about 5:00 min

  • I would love to see the entire show. I wish it would come onto TV. It would be so great even to see it live. I love the entire set of Cirque du Soleil shows.

  • Saltimbanco

    3 mars ARTV (Canada) 21h00 :)

That's The better show I ever saw

  • como se llaman las trapecistas??

  • Karyne & Sarah Steben, I think. No one else can do this act like they did it.

  • i actually went to see this when i was about 5!!! was the best thing i had ever seen in my life!!! AMAZING! is there a video of the large swing with all the clowns ... where they land on a pole ,,, lol!??

  • does anyone know what this song is called?

  • amazonia

  • acto digno de admirar, siempre me ha gustado este circus, me gustaria ver en vivo alguna de sus representaciones, demasiada flexibilidad las trapecistas

  • All I can say is superb, the trapeze is one of my favourite circus acts and this act has already become one of my favourites. The music was what you would expect from Soleil, which sent shivers down my spine.

  • love the song ♥

  • I had seen the this show just during the Labour day holiday weekend in Saint John NB, and its incredible and I can't even describe it, I Had seen one of Cirque du Soleil recent shows names Corteo and that was good but this show was way better :)

  • Did this happen to be at Harbour station moviesrock1? If so I was there.

  • this particular DVD performance[the video] was recorded in 1994 in Atlanta, GA.

  • This is one of my favourites - just love the way they harmonise and make the movements seem so effortlessly free.

  • i think these girls are amzing!

  • I seen cirque du soleil perform on a Season 7 episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and I was wondering if anyone knew what kinda of act/acts they did on the episode. I love cirque du soleil and I just wish I could watch a full act of it that was on the epi. Please email me at obsessed_csi_freaks at yahoo dot com due to email problems! Thank you so much!

    Elizabeth

  • This is just astonishing I am stunned everytime I watch it as how good they are and innovative their moves are. I especially like the moves at the end - the one where the "catcher" holds the "flyer" upside down in a splits between her arms and the move where the "flyer" slides down the front of the catcher's body and hangs by her armpits on the catcher's feet. All down 30 feet up and at speed on a single trapeze. Just unbelievable.

  • This is the act that got my hooked on Cirque du Soleil and inspired me to pursue learning Trapeze and Cerceau (Aerial Hoop.

Karyne & Sarah Steben are nothing short of incredible. They are definitely one of the best Duo Trapeze artists in the world.

  • Everytime it is in the LA area, I always see it, I have called in sick to work, to see this beautiful incredible show, beieve me, it's worth it!!!

  • IN KRE DI BI LE..............

  • If there is one i must do before i die is see this fabulous, wonderous show. Does anyone know when it will be in the UK again?????

  • check the cirque du soleil website, this show recently announced that it was going to end its tours because of how long it has been running (it was the longest running show at the time).

however i am pretty sure i saw an article announcing that they were going on tour again...so just go to google and type in Cirque du soleil and look for anything on saltimbanco

  • Truly one of the most amazing acts of the cirque, really amazing.

  • This is Godly, and he would approve of the love and trust conveyed here...this is what God is about, and I hope people can understand the messages that Cirque tries to express. They don't speak a real language because they convey by action and understand the power of sound and sight. Humanity at it's most primal and beautiful.

  • at least 22 feet up and higher to 30 when swinging wow

  • That. Was. Amazing. I felt like I died watching that though. ARGH! That freaked me out so much!

  • this is so beautiful it made me cry

  • There like the twins from escaflowne...if anyones ever seen them =>.>=

  • @kittynred My thoughts exactly when I first saw them when I was about 10/11

  • Every circus need a couple of twins

  • Oh, wow! Love music, love show! They must have a lot of trust in each other for this type of act! Especially considering you are at least 15 or more feet in the air. ^^

  • 22 feet at hanging bar and when swinging gets to almost 30. wow

  • lez

  • its called amazonia

  • very nice video ... do you know someone that what is music from video?

  • I would be scared to death to ever do that.

I want to see the cirque some time. I have never seen them. If they would do some tours in the US near the west coast, tis would be great.

  • 5 stars?? this one deserves 10

  • I wish I could be there someday

  • Its really too bad....But sometimes things must go to make way for the new. I hope(or pretty much know) that what is come up with next will be good too.

  • I love the music!! :)

  • u know i always wanted a twin 2 do an act the same as this i rember me and my freind lisa did a double trapeze act static at first but the swinging(i have 2 say doing in doubles is so much cooler than solo swinging trapeze but very hard,i was the flyer and she was the catcher ususual i know

  • what's new tourin show that might replace this?

  • now that I know, it's Kooza.

  • Sweet. My coaches did that act in Saltimbanco for four years. They're not the same set of twins as in that video though. Those twins are Karyn and Sarah Steben. My coaches are Serenity and Elsie Smith. I put some videos from their promotional dvd thing up here on youtube if you're curious to see them :)

  • Remembered those days when they were in singapore... sigh...

  • yes beach unfortunatly they are last show is near end of 2006 in brasil, they need 2 make way 4 a new touring show, but i read it waspulled b4 and started again,i think they should make it a pernament show like in disney land tokyo of something

  • @colonia1 Right now they sent it to Europe to tour and then to South Africa. They took out the three oldest ones and know (according to my aunt), they are making most of them permanent now like in Asia or something

  • Oh! Yay! Lol. This is my favorite act from the DVD. Those twins were awesome. I was gonna post it later. =D

  • so cool

  • Is it true that Cirque is pulling out Saltimbanco? It was the first one I saw and it would really suck if it got taken out. Love that act BTW.

  • yes. how did you hear this? It's not quite out in the open yet.
