AND never ever take a taxi from the airport. Just trust me on this one. Take the train to Termini station and back. Do not waste your money on drugged taxi drivers, we almost died on the way to our hotel as our driver swerved in and out of lanes and went dangerously fast. Only after he got out of the airport could we realize that he was on drugs. And we did not take a citizen's taxi, we waited in line where the taxis wait and the price is set. Thank God we are alive. It's truly a miracle.
I was so surprised in Rome as almost everyone was out to dupe tourists. It is such a beautiful city. But everywhere we went, everytime some salesman was trying to overprice something. Even entrance to the Vatican museums was a trap. For example, if you buy the tickets from where the bathrooms are under the Basilica, you pay twice as much as you would have if you bought them from the post office next to the entrance of the Basilica(where the guards change every hour). DO NOT GET DUPED IN ROME!

I was in Rome for two weeks back in June. I stayed in a convent on the Aventine Hill, 5 minutes walking distance from the Colosseum. It was the most spectacular, breathtaking place I could ever hope to imagine. You really can't appreciate the complexity and beauty of this place unless you see it for yourself.

The Trevi fountain and the Pantheon are only about 100 or so metres apart from eachother. Also she didnt mention the monument of King Voctor Emanuelle II the first King of Italy, this is the big white building you see at 0:30 and you can go to the top as its the highest point in the city!
