This is actually closer to the truth than Zynga would ever admit. I can't even play Cafe World anymore; 9 times out of 10 if a friend sends me a 'request' and I click 'Yes', it sends me directly into the game. At least on games like FrontierVille or Cityville I can go back to to the friend gift requests.

Regarding the Spamming of the News feed: If you put your mafia members in a separate Friends Group, you can restrict your app posts so that they are only seen by your mafia. It's under "account settings"
