Also, the more we segregate, the more blacks have to live in ghettos, which just increases the negative stereotypes. As for evolution, there is no such thing as "more evolved", only better suited to an environment. Black people (on average) are stronger, faster, have a better sense of rhythm, and don't get sun-burned.

The math behind it isn't astonishing...at all. when faced with a difficult question it is always best to simplify and go back to basics. Hell look at the simple minds of the prison inmates there all segrigated. But society forces us to tolerate each other and leads to jealousy, hate, envy, discrimination etc. But we are supposed to be a civilized people but what is so civilized about forcing people to tolerate others? As a black male myself I don't see a problem with segregation I think that back when blacks fought for civil rights and fought against segregation (a small minority mind you) I think they should have been fighting against other things other than racial segregation.Don't get me wrong I don't hate white people or any race for that matter but I think that unlike alot of other countries with mixed populations the US is different I think that its too late for people here.

I think i'm a bit of a dogmatic thinker when it comes to certain things like racial segregation and I guess that's my southern upbringing showing itself, we have a culture of ignorance here unlike any other. @DeepSetEyesDance During the transatlantic slave trade most slaves actually went to Latin America and the caribbean islands and many countries in the west had slavery but I don't think many of them have the history of racism that America has. America has a very ugly history Native American genocide,Slavery,Jim Crow,the mistreatment of Irish, and Italian immigrants etc. I wonder can a country with that kind of histroy really change? In the case of the US, when they forced black people to live within certain urban neigbourhoods during centuresi makes segretation easier... I'm sure that in the book this is ackonwledged

Personally I don't see a problem with segregation...its just not institutionally possible, at least what we would consider "fair" segregation. That's not saying that people don't naturally segregate themselves as the video shows, they do, and theres no problem with it. The problem with separate but equal comes with the "equality" part. How do we divide the land, resources, money so that each gets the same?  Who governs? There's no way to make it equal.

@Daemonheart I used to know Black folks who lived in Alabama during the "separate but equal" days and they said essentially the same thing you said. The "separate" part did't bother them. There had been too many bad feelings between the races for them to feel at ease around White folks. They didn't care for the "equal" part, which was anything but equal. Racial disparity surely needed to be addressed, but White Flight was a clear indication that forced integration wasn't the right path.

But you didn't explain why being outnumbered 2:1 is a rational way of thinking. You just said that it is rational without explaining why.

Additionally, in order for that to work, you need to have people moving into situations where they're surrounded 2:1 in the first place. This would be an irrational move on their part. This would invalidate the idea that they were rational prior to the experiment - meaning they irrationally put themselves in a situation that they don't want to be in.
