Actually, it's debatable. If you're Jewish, then yes it's forbidden, but later in the New testement, which is what most Christians follow, there is a statement that a large quantity of animals were lowered from heaven by God, who says so long as you eat these with my blessing they are clean. Which basically translates into, be thankful for the food, now go ahead and eat.
