@gojirason to be fair, lulu isn't technichally a metallica album, but a lou reed album featuring metallica. reed probably thought getting one of the best bands of all time on one of his records would boost his popularity, but it didn't, and st. anger is EPIC. a couple of my favorite metallica songs are on that album.

God uses many people in many different ways...Dave has been inspired by the God and his word without that there would not be most of Megadeth, Metallica's Creeping Death the crowd's fave is from the story of the ten commandments and the story of moses.
Love him or hate him, Dave always sounds so intelligent and put together for any interview. It is amazing the trials he has had to go through to keep his career going. The fact that he just turned 50 and Megadeth has been on tour for pretty much 2 yrs is a testament to the drive and love that Dave has for his fans.

I have this injury, I had surgery, took 6 months with a neck brace. Have three herniations in my neck, three in my mid and two in the L-spine. I feel for you Dave. I fell at work, so it's not from head banging. Glad you came out for the show because I came to see Megadeth for the 20th time. Thanks Dave.
I'm not religious, but if Dave's faith compelled him get on stage when he was injured to finish the show then that's pretty awesome tbh. Many artists would of called it a day.

It's real hard onstage NOT to move your neck, especially being in a thrash metal band which is predisposed to headbanging. lol I wish you a quick recovery and hope to see you on the next tour!
@megadeth9000 Its kinda simlar, tom was having back issues because he had some pinched disks in his upper back and neck area....Dave's injury is pretty similar, they both have been very prolific headbangers through out the years so the damage to their spine and neck was going to happen eventually...Dave probably wont be able to headbang after the surgery
@megadeth9000 I think he'll be fine, if he pulled through when he messed up nerves in his left arm, he'll be fine after neck surgery, they are going to take a break while he recovers though
@bomber191 I couldn't tell, and I also misheard and thought his surgery was scheduled the /next/ day. In retrospect he did look kind of "tired" though. Didn't really hinder his performance in the least though- he didn't show it...

Dude, he's not going to retire. Look at Ozzy, he's still doing what he loves, and mustaine is younger than him. He will continue to bring good music for a long time. And I know this is off topic, sort of. But one thing is my band will hopefully get signed, and will continue the true metal legacy. Wish me luck

Love him or hate him, Dave always sounds so intelligent and put together for any interview. It is amazing the trials he has had to go through to keep his career going. The fact that he just turned 50 and Megadeth has been on tour for pretty much 2 yrs is a testament to the drive and love that Dave has for his fans.

I have this injury, I had surgery, took 6 months with a neck brace. Have three herniations in my neck, three in my mid and two in the L-spine. I feel for you Dave. I fell at work, so it's not from head banging. Glad you came out for the show because I came to see Megadeth for the 20th time. Thanks Dave.

Damn...Dave, I can't say I would risk my well-being just to play my guitar for an hour. I understand and respect your decision to go for it since it was a BIG show and all, but geez, your neck is one of the worst places to be injured, given your line of work. It's real hard onstage NOT to move your neck, especially being in a thrash metal band which is predisposed to headbanging. lol I wish you a quick recovery and hope to see you on the next tour!

@megadeth9000 Its kinda simlar, tom was having back issues because he had some pinched disks in his upper back and neck area....Dave's injury is pretty similar, they both have been very prolific headbangers through out the years so the damage to their spine and neck was going to happen eventually...Dave probably wont be able to headbang after the surgery

@bomber191 I couldn't tell, and I also misheard and thought his surgery was scheduled the /next/ day. In retrospect he did look kind of "tired" though. Didn't really hinder his performance in the least though- he didn't show it...
