I was on this flight, nothing but professionalism. Nose gear not deployed, not as big a deal as main gear not deployed!!! Happy that my "plane crash" was this and not something worse.
I've seen the helicopter view of this, very nice landing. Great job. But it is kinda funny on the post about the flight school. I can hear the instructor now..."See that guy's? With alot of hard work and dedication, that could be YOU crash landing out there!" ;0)
i was there when that happened pilot bounce the nose a bit but still pulled it off i didnt leave work till the next day becauase of all the delays,plane sat on the runway for hours!!!

I must ask first don't these guys look like servicemen? If so what the f are they doing just standing there and why are they not ready to go and assist with possible rescue. Secondly they are already appluading before the aircraft has come to a complete stop. Do they not realize that the wing got still tip and they could spiral into a ball of fire? I'm a flight attendant and I gotta say its sad that these asses are just standing there saying Oh "s**"
Wow, way to be a jerk. I was there, I was one of those guys in blue shirts, and we aren't servicemen. We're students, many of those guys didn't have instrument ratings yet.
As for spiraling into a ball of fire, yes that could have happened, but it was unlikely seeing as the plane came in on fumes. They were holding over KSFB for at least an hour burning what was left of their fuel to ensure that they WOULDN'T burst into flames.
@eaquino1265 The most critical part is the touchdown and then touching the nose down. As long as they accomplish that successfully, then they will be fine. No fireballs. THat's too much hollywood stuff. These are professional pilots! :-) no need for a "rescue" here, besides the plane is almost 2 miles away. The people will be back in their cars before these guys get there!
watch the news and other you tube movie and you will know is that true or not. Also, why you think the whole flight school people doing in the ramp area if it wasn't the emergency landing?
actually cheezehead69 this was an actual emergency landing go to yahoo and search allegiant air hell just look at the other vids on youtube. you cant see the emergency vehicles because they are down at the end of the runway ....
dude...this was a real emergency landing...the nose gear wouldnt come down...and the emergency crews are at the end of the runway, where the plane comes to a stop duh...that is the best place for them to be. what use would they be a mile away from the plane on the opposite end of the runway where the plane lands?
