Dr. Leatt invented the brace because his friend died because of a spinal injury. I wear one and I honestly fell a little safer. If I crash hard, I know I won't get beaten as bad. I haven't had a bad crash yet to really test it, so I guess I'm lucky. I really can't feel it either when I ride.
@DSizz990 Ya I have read the reviews but unfortunately reviews are just opinions. They for some reason won't release the actual research for the braces. I'm not saying they don't work but that I don't know if they work and that means no one else does (not because I know it all but because no one else can see actual data either). I'm just nervous to have that much plastic around my neck, it looks like a perfect fulcrum point. Oh well, everyone has there own opinion /reason. Thanks though

no point in buying a $500 brace when i can just use a neck pad that is $30 and does everything this plastic junk does.
