  • Agrees and admires Professor Dawkins....

  • Did he just claim that the discovery of the structure of DNA was the greatest breakthrough in 20th century science? What a Prick.

  • What is the song in this video?

  • the jesus part baffles me... we don't even know if this guy existed. you could invited robin hood as well or atlas as well

  • makes you proud to be english, just waiting on other parts of the world to get out of the brozne age

  • The need to believe in an afterlife is driven by vanity. "This" can't just be "it" for me. I'm too important to just disappear. A realist would see that "this" isn't just "it." Life will continue on when you are gone, humans will continue on, just not you.

  • living legend!

  • What is the music that plays in the background?

  • No one here gets out alive. I laugh at your afterlife expectations.HA!HA!

  • The reason why I met God, is that I started to THINK. I thought "this" can't be "it", and I found out that it wasn't :-)

  • Why cant "this" just be "it"?

  • Richard Dawkins should watch this!

    watch?v=BKmdIdQg3Ks

    :D

  • Richard Dawkings has something divine

  • Dawkins is really a dork when it comes to spiritual matters, I'm sorry but he is incredibly silly!

He knows absolutely nothing about the spiritual world.

Oh dear, what a flaky guy he is.

He is insecure in his own secular ideas, and he is seeking refuge in the minds of similar empty vessels. He knows that he is as empty as an aerosol can with compressed air...

  • So who knows anything about the spiritual world?

    You?

  • Yes, I know lot's about the spiritual world, many Christians do. We who have received the Holy Spirit into our lives, know a great deal, even if it isn't much from God's perspective :-) The Holy Spirit is our Helper, and He teaches us personally about spiritual things.

Many don't know that they are spiritually blind.

I cast out demons weekly, I heal the sick in Jesus name. I'm not interested in demons, but when they get in the way I toss them out of the way. In Jesus I have the authority.

  • With all the respect I owe to a religious person such as yourself, if you really believe that you have to cast out demons every week, it is time to seek medical help. You should be happy believing it yourself (assuming it provides you with a fulfilling life) but then why this need to be condecendant with people (like me for instance) who do not share your belief in your imaginary friend? Why do I get the feeling that you consider me stupid and blind for seeking truth rather than a made up one.

  • and of course, You know everything there is to know about spiritual world because... God chose you to be our spiritual leader? He endowed you with this great sight?

Nobody believes in the Gods of the greek anymore, or in the Roman gods. Nowadays, Everybody would admit that they were the product of the human imagination. Out of all the gods there were, why is your god THE GOD? Where do you drive that certainty from? Who is insecure chasing demons all weeks as you wrote in your response below?

  • Don't be silly, I don't know everything. But every single man/woman who seeks Jesus will find Him, and when they do He in turn will introduce them to the Holy Spirit. Then they will have the authority to do all that Jesus wants them to do for the kindom of God.

I don't think you are stupid. But I know how I was before I met God. I didn't know anything about spiritual matters, because I didn't know the Holy Spirit personally back then. Nobody can know God without meeting Him in person.

  • What can I respond to that? what can anyone respond to that as a matter of fact? Citing the bible to justify your belief when the issue is precisely the content of the bible itself. You claim to have met god in person. You need medical help, urgently I might add. You did not meet god, you never did and never will. One more time, you are assuming that you know better because of your encounter with your imaginary friend: It is a condecending atitude: you met him so you know. I didn't so I don't!

  • I cast out evil spirits from people who are opressed and ask me to do so. After all the doctor's could not help them with all their pills and ignorance.

  • If you do have that power, which of course you don't, then call a TV station and prove live what you are capable of. No one in this world has divine powers, and I mean no one. Believing otherwise would show only one thing: The willingness to admit things that your own concience rejects. I do not believe for a second that you believed a single word you just said. Just like TV evangelists, the truth they preech stop at the door step of their house.

  • Mat 10:1 And when he had called unto [him] his twelve disciples, he gave them power [against] unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Jesus still wants us to continue His work until He returns. And that is what I happily do, no matter what.

  • Now that I just read more of your prose, I see that there is no conversation possible with someone who cites the bible all the time. Dear thalonen, this is my last response as I can't have a meaningful exchange with a religious freak. Don't be offended by that, I confess that I am the idiot for using such language but thank God for not having this type of rational run our government. I trully believe that you are mentally deranged. People like U usually set themselves on fire to heel their soul.

  • "Just because up to this point, you have not heard about it, does not in any way imply that it is not taking place"

    (P. Aristarchus)

And this is not from the Bile, don't you know :-)

  • If jesus followers heal all sickness and all manner of diseases then why are there so many sick people. Louis Pasteur and Jonas Salk did more to eliminated dieases than Jesus and his followers did, they came up with real solutions to prevent Antrax, rabies, and Polio that are documented and can be copied, not unsubstatiated stories.

  • The weaks and the insecure are those who seek refuge in a made up, of-the-shelf belief. The ones who pray god by fear to be sent to hell, the ones who pray every sunday in chearch.

Not the ones who are brave enough to seek the truth. As far as Dawkins is concerned, he is one of the smartest guy I had the honor to listen to. He read, he is a doctor, has an insight on evolution and science that few people have. Faith on the other hand, doesn't require any knowledge, perfect for the golables.

  • Why does he say he would like to meet Jesus? I thought he didn't believe in Jesus.

  • i lol'd...

  • He did not say he dosnt belivie in the existence of jesus.

He does not belivie in god or the divinity of jesus. Most adult people and scientist know that jesus existed and that he died, becouse there is enough proof. But many people, like dawkins, does not belvie that jesus was the son of god, becouse there is no real proof. and the bible is def. NOT proof , not in that matter. What we do not know however, if jesus walked on water/raised dead ect. or if he was just a normal guy.

  • And also they lost all ability to write English! A small unintended side effect no doubt! Luckily not at all important now that they found god and can stop using their brain anyway! LOL

  • A God among men.

    Pun intended

  • thalonen: You are another one of those blind religious apologists that follow a foundationless and un-objective way of life. If you have nothing without an unprovable, unseeable mythical figure; written about by men and handed down throughout the generations by men without any form of evidence whatsoever then you will die blind, without any real appreciation for what nature and evolution has to offer.

  • Because of Dawkins,I want to go into DNA research

    What a hero!!!

  • to claim these things happened because you prayed to god is silly. to give a comparison: many many people think they have some physic abilities because they happen to be sitting at home thinking about someone they know when suddenly, out of the blue the phone rings and its that person. it seems pretty weird on the face of it until you think of how many times a day/week/year that you think of someone you know and yet they dont call at that time. the same goes for

  • "the individual body is a machine for the propagation of the genes that ride inside it"

    that is brilliant!!!!!

i really like this guy :)

  • wow Robertweeks you have all the answers that even science does not claim to have. Okay so now prove your claims and get the nobel prize !!!

  • I hope that "How interesting.." is not an attempt to point out his hypocrisy because Dawkins himself also leaves open the possibility that we were created by a conscious mind.

  • lol he is a scientist (a very good one) and no scientist can totaly count any idea out. there is no evidence when it comes to the creator, so no one can say he isnt there. (its just not very likely :)

  • notice how atheists don't jump to conclusions and claim to know what caused the big bang. people are still searching for that answer, not giving up and saying 'God did it.'

  • Comment removed

  • this music is beautiful. it's an epiphany of emotions surging through my mind. :)

  • "Raise your consciousness to that curious anomaly. That's all i'm saying". That has to be the single best quote any rational being can make.

  • "Professor" Richard Dawkins stands for non-reading naysayers who believe that demeaning the Faith of their parents elevates them. Dawkins stands for empire & totalitarianism. The metaphysical world is a force to be reckoned with regardless of the dogma & icons envenerated by the typical, indelibly-marked & pierced, functionally-illiterate "atheist."

  • What a way to save nothing.

  • Find peace. Keep hope alive.

  • Peace and hope I have. You do not need to believe in magic men to do so. Your "understanding" of Atheism is extremely warped. You do not even realize how many of us evildoers you have laughing at you.

  • I can't be a father figure to you.

  • You sure can't. To be one, first you have to know what you're talking about.

  • N.A.S.A. is incompetent, inept, bureaucratic, wasteful, boastful & unimaginative. There were no manned moon missions. On the "moon" you can see the wires taking the weight off the astro-actors' bodies. With micrometeorites assailing the moon at 60,000 M.P.H. the astro-actors are cavorting about like kittens dumped from a sack: chipping golf balls & recklessly driving their moon buggies...without a care in the world...oblivious to the fact that the slightest breach in their space suits = death.

  • First of all, he does not believe that demeaning the faith of your parents elevates you. He just says that children should be introduced to a multitude of faiths and choose the one they wish to follow, instead of being indoctrinated by their parents.

Secondly, 98% of all nobel prize winners and 93% of the top scientists are atheists. Is that called being illiterate?

  • "The God Delusion"? A delusion is symptomatic of mental illness. To be deluded, is to suffer a detachment from reality. Deluded people are highly dysfunctional. Many deluded people are under institutional care. Dawkins' folks were Christians, i.e. deluded. Dawkins claims that Christians are deluded, dangerous & dysfunctional. Dawkins is the product of deluded parents. Mental illness is hereditary. This man is not to be trusted.

  • yeah your right

    it only deals with christains

    especially americans

  • The question is: Why does this

fruit loop Dawkins have a following?

  • So eloquent and fluid in speech. So learned and apt in interdisciplinary fields.

Dawkins is unquestionably one of today's most prominent luminaries and public intellectuals whether we agree with him or not.

  • There's a video doing the rounds where Dawkins says that believing that rape is wrong is as arbitrary as the fact that we've evolved five fingers rather than six.

Hypothetical situation - if someone had to break into Dawkins' house and rape his wife, he could be entitled to protect her, sure. But if the rapist got away with it, Dawkins couldnt really accuse him of doing anything wrong.

  • He says that the evolution of a hatred towards rape is arbitrary. But that's precisely it: he says that this resentment did evolve to the ingrained perception of it that we have today.

What he does not do is to condone rape; on the contrary I am certain that he says "That's how it is: rape is bad, and furthermore is illegal."

Even if he, for whatever bizarre reason, thinks rape is A-Ok among humans, he could still use the Law to accuse the rapist, as rape is a felony.

  • You're a moron

  • Wow what a witty comeback you insipid gibbon.

Dhalsim makes a good point. And Dawkins' view on rape is precisely what happens when you let a biologist out of the lab...

  • Look, I saw the video. Dawkins does not say anything about the morality of rape being arbitrary.

He first suggests that certain moral "truths" may have an evolutionary background (such as altruism and reciprocity I might add). Then when asked (from the blazing creationist) if believing rape is wrong could also have that; he concludes that, yes, that moral truth may also have an evolutionary history.

Get it? Its not a moral question being asked or answered (.. you moron)

  • Your comment is riddled with contradictions, I don't even know where to begin. So I wont

  • If God does not exist, then what you have

up until the appearance of living creatures is nothing but dead matter. Then how do you arrive suddenly at something totally differentliving creatures with abilities to think, feel, and believe? In the beginning there were either particles or there was an infinitely intelligent mind. If you begin with intelligence, then its much easier to see how finite minds

    came into existence

  • how did that intelligence come into existence? Surely an intelligence so complex requires an explanation or origin.

  • I like to think of God as the cause that caused cause and effect and cause and effect was the effect of that cause.

  • But that's a meaningless tautology that doesn't actually explain anything. You might as well simply say "God always was", but it still hasn't actually answered the question of whence God came.

Also how can something be infinitely intelligent? Or infinitely anything, for that matter? Where is he? How does he influence our world? Wouldn't his infinite existence in a finite region of space (the Earth) lead to a breakdown of the laws of physics? Anyway, why do we need a God to explain anything?

  • If I may add to this rather "developmental evolutionary" debate, let us suppose God is "an infinitely intelligent mind". How then do you explain his lack of boredom? The Christian bible states we are created in his image. Now we have an experiment. Man's intelligence has prompted him to create things that were once impossible (far from finite). Now, attempt to explain that contradiction while refraining from the words God Jesus Infinite(ly) Bible Gospel Evil Manifest and Damnation. Enlighten me.

  • human ingenuity

  • RD kicked ur god's ass

  • your an idiot

  • Shouldn't that be " you're an idiot " ha ha ha

  • it shud indeid

  • "Logic will get you nowhere." is the choice quote there!

"Dawkins has the blood of many on his hands." What? You're a fucking idiot.

  • thalonen -

"it would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone around his neck"

    Spoken like a true Christian.

  • "Heidi Baker and her kids have raised more than 100 people from the DEAD"

You seriously believe that, do you? You actually think people can be brought back from death? Oh my.

  • ahahahahahhahahahahhaha

    ..

    ahahahhahahhahaha

    loser

  • "Man people sure are BLIND!!! Lot's of people are being raised from the dead!"

I really don't know if I'm more amused or appalled at your stunning ignorance, and the irony of you calling other people blind. No-one has ever risen from the dead. Get a grip on yourself, stop watching horror movies, read something other than the bible, meet people who aren't psycho church freaks, in short - get a life, dude.

  • To me you are a religious atheist freak who won't look into things because of your religion.

It's a fact that Heidi and her kids have raised more than a hundred people from the dead.

Man some people sure are truly ignorant!

  • Heidi and her kids are bathed in the blood of satan, dude. They are CULTISTS!

  • What a stupid thing to say.

  • How is it a stupid thing to say when they have been seen hanging about with known reverends of the Church of Satan, have OPENLY admitted to studying the "Satanic Bible" by Anton Szandor LaVey, and having the power that only your imaginary friend known as God should have?

According, also, to mainstream religion, if you have the power to raise the dead, then you are of demon seed.

And yes, what I say is based in fact. Now stop being a general deuche.

  • What you say is silly.

Religion has nothing to do with God.

A person who studies the works of a loser like Anton La Vey, sees them as something positive and claims to be a Christian, is soft in the head.

Satan can heal people just as God can. But satan is a loser and anybody who follows him will die with him.

Jesus tells us to raise the dead! Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

    That's a matter of fact

  • Did you ignore my point, or are you being intentionally stupid? They. Worship. Satan. And if you actually believe what it says in the bible, then why do things happen the way they do? Why did the twin towers come down? It was a RELIGIOUS act. And if you say that it was instructed by a false god, then you are no less atheistic than I am.

Religion, indeed, has nothing to do with god. Or ANY god. Religion, god, the bible, are all fictitious items created to make insecure humans feel better.

  • I didn't understand the question...sssorry.

Things happen the way they do because God gave us a free will. We are resposible for the world until Jesus returns.

Religion is man made. God is real though. I know this because I have met the Holy Trinity. I know them a little bit. I work for them.

The Bible is God's word to the world. A manual for us to live by. When we don't obey His word, towers come down, disasters become a fact.

  • Satan and god doesn`t exist. Did you know that ?

  • Then how come Jesus loves me?

And why does the devil hate me?

Why do people get healed as I pray for them in Jesus' name?

Why did I get healed when I told God: "I know that You can heal me if You want too".

Why did my granny's tumor disappear when they prayed for her?

Why was my dad healed from Diabetes, the second he asked Jesus to heal him?

Why was there 250 bucks in an envelope inside my door after I had asked the Lord for 250 bucks, only with a note inside that said: from "Father".

  • You can`t be sure and say : jesus loves me? - And why does the devil hate me?

-Those are happening randomly and becouse you believe in god you think that there must be some "higher powers" to explain your "miracles" and other stuff.

I have witnessed very unbelievable things too and they are just random. Let`s look at the point of view of some arab, now they are some brainwashed bastards just like you, it doesn`t make a difference.

It must be very difficult to understand to you, I quess.

  • Sure I can be sure. I have seen Christ twice and God has hugged me physically. If I pray for specific sickness to leave in Jesus' name, it leaves.

When I cast out demons, the Holy Spirit tells me their names and they are history.

I have also had many encounters that I can't tell people about.

If you ask Jesus to take your life over, He will and your life will become exiting. I know mine did.

I don't work for anybody else but the Lord. I have surrendered completely, and I love it.

  • Wow you sound like really sad and deluded individual. Well.. it's a free world I guess, it's just a shame that you have elected to walk the intellectually vacuous path of delusion rather than to perceive the real beauty of the world.

  • You don't know what you are missing. I was like you before I met God!

  • I was 21 when I met the Lord, nobody brainwashed me. I knew nothing about God at the time I got saved. The Bible meant nothing to me, I'd never read it. I tried a few times but fell asleep after a few minutes.

After I received the Holy Spirit (who is a person), I suddely understood the Bible. It is much more that the stories in it. God uses it in other personal ways also.

You don't know what you are missing! The fourth dimension rocks!

  • It`s useless to tell you something , and so you to tell me something. I can also say that you don`t know what you are missing !. I hate that christians are thinking that they are in some "special position"-It doesn`t depend on religion, they are all waste of time and useless.

  • But you are so wrong. I was a Heathen for 21 years, I knew NOTHING of God. But now I do. You have never known God so He is just an "idea" to you. I "really" know Him as a person, He is just as real to me as any other person I know, the only difference is that He is only visible in the fourth dimension.

We who know God can see that dimension as we go back and forth between Heaven and Earth on a daily basis. I'm not religious, no true Christians are!

You can know Jesus too, it's up to you!

  • Now you`re going totally ridiculous. If you are seriously going to "convert" me, no way.

  • It's your choice, "nobody" can make it for you.

Jesus offers you eternal life with Him.

He has paid for your sins and offers you an exiting life with Him.

You can turn Him down if you like. Like most people do, and suffer the consequence. I'm not saying this to scare anybody, it's just a fact.

Those who turn Jesus down have no other option than Hell, and after Hell on D-day, the Lake of Fire.

It sure doesn't sound like a cakewalk to me...

  • D-day..isn't that in June? That terribly exiting day for every christian involved! Which they never would have experienced had they not given over their life to Jesus!

  • I was never "afraid" of death, that's not why I'm a Christian.

I would prefer death to a life without Christ though. Because this world has NOTHING to offer me. I tried it for 21 years , and to me, it sucks big time. I hated my life even though I'd experienced more stuff than most people do (before I was 13 years old) during a lifetime.

Now that I know Christ personally I'm so content it's silly :-)

  • brainwashed? we are the ones who are brainwashed? as oppesed to someone staring at a comp screen listening and eating up what some old delusional propoganda master had just come up with? whatever man. do what you will.

but try as you might to come up with faulty reasons why we are wrong and try to make us go away, i have news for you....we wont

  • "Dawkins will be held responsible for all the lives he has ruined with his lies, by leading people astray"

What a ridiculous thing to say.

  • If Dawkins is such a bane upon Mankind, one can only wonder why an infinitely wise and loving God would allow him to be born!

  • God has a perfect plan for his Dawkins life! Dawkins on the other hand has decided NOT to follow God's plan, that is why he is a walking disaster.

  • Strange that this "perfect plan", orchestrated by an omniscient and omnipotent Supreme Being, can so easily be shattered by one mere mortal.

  • Hear! Hear! Cottonwhisker! Dawkins ROCKS! These people are AFRAID of the elegant truth and I wouldn't usually bother with them other than (a) they're potentially (and actually) DANGEROUS and (b) Bible-basher-baiting is *FUN*!

  • It's not strange, it's no secret that we have a free will.

In the next life we will be held acountable for every cent we have spent and every thing we have ever done.

I thank God that Jesus took my sin on Himself! Whew!

  • dawkins would have known God is real if he tried him? which God though? step 1 - run basic logic through your brain. step 2 - rethink your life

  • "The ONLY God available Yahweh, the Creator. All the other so called god's are only evil spirits at best"

You realise that you're being horribly dogmatic, right? You're claiming, without a scrap of evidence, that the particular god you've chosen is the only true one. Someone believing in a different god would be just as adamant as you, how can you honestly claim to be right?

  • How do you know it wasn't Satan cunningly disguised in a false beard, robe and sandals?

  • Go ahead make fun of me I don't care. I know who I am, who satan is and who God is.

And I know your fate, unless you turn to God.

  • lol

  • you claim to have 'seen' jesus, and you know other people's fate. yet you aren't convinced enough by your 'experiences', you attempt to cleanse any remaining doubts you may have about your imaginary beliefs by starting contradictory debates with people over youtube. George Carlin categorized your breed nicely "HIGHLY MOTIVATED!", just like serial killers, pedophiles, christian conservatives, etc...

  • I don't have any doubt's about God in my life!

Not one. I live an exciting life. I see miracles many times per week as I pray with people. But it is very hard to explain spiritual things to people who have never experienced them. After all they are supernatural, and to us born again they are totally natural.

You're not born again just because you "say" so, you have to experience Jesus for yourself. Nobody can do it for you!

  • Here are three personal examples where religion would of won the 'upper hand' if it wasn't for science.

    1. i dreamt i saw Jesus. in all sincerity, my senses told me it was real, so i believed it. when i awoke, i realized it's just a dream.

    2. i've been a victim of sleep paralysis. before i learned about it, i "almost" jumped to conclusions thinking i'm being haunted by a demon.

    3. i decided to pray one night. an old enemy befriended me the very next day. i've concluded coincidence.

  • That's just dumb.

  • What is? The undeniable evidence with suggests otherwise to your illogical beliefs? Or the fact that you hiccup "OH GOD!" right before achieving an orgasm?

  • It is rather baffling that in modern times, with our lives so dependent on technology, that people still cling to ancient beleifs.

  • Maybe because the truth is eternal

  • Wow, there's way more comments than votes. Vote!

  • excellent music !!!

  • I believe that Jesus existed, but as an Atheist I do not believe he was a saviour or deserved to be worshipped, although he was probably a noble man who was probably unjustly killed.

  • Jesus may have existed, but it did not change the fact that his 'father' was the biggest prick in history of the universe. Jesus added hell to the long list of horrors brought by his father.

  • Does anyone know the name of the music?

  • Beautiful music.

  • I have admired Dawkins work. But, his running around with this Jesus stuff for the past few years is bad news. Hey Richard, why not invite Santa Clause. Find out what it is like living at the north pole. Where do those elves come from?

Shut down Atheists for Jesus. Somebody ask him what his evidence is for this guy even existing. As far as I can tell, there is no evidence.

  • I am a staunch atheist, however there is evidence for the existance of "christos" the rabbi written by the revered and reliable historian tacitus in his diary. There is no evidence for the existance of god, nor of the morality of christianity, the existance of Jesus proves nothing, zero.

  • Yes, there were thousands of them. No proof of the christian Jesus. Christos means 'messiah'.

My understanding was that you could not spit without hitting a Christos.

  • I don't care whether or not he existed, or whether or not there is a god. I believe that there isn't but the point is even if it were I wouldn't stop being an anti-theist because I know that the teachings are not moral.

  • What do you call the four gospels? Eye witness accounts of Jesus Christ's last 3 years on earth by his closest friends. PLEASE! SHUT THE FuCK Up

  • Oh, I and I agree that saying the physical guy existed proves nothing. But, Christians don't see it that way. If you say that Jesus existed, they immediately take it as validation that their religion is true.

Look at all the religious people who quote Einstein and Hawking as proof of their God. Yes, it is an appeal to authority fallacy, but how about if we stop giving them validation where we have no real evidence and say it plainly, their god/jesus does not exist rather than try to be nice

  • As far as I can tell, there is no evidence... WELL, just goes to show you can't tell very far
