go to File > Queue batch operation > Save as avi

This is good for multiple passes using XviD.

To view your jobs press F4 or go to File > Job Control

@addicted946 7-Zip is not a downloader. It's a file compressor/decompressor.

You'll use it after you'd downloaded the compressed file from web to open it.

A good alternative would be XmediaRecode. The main site is German, but if you navigate to the Downloads section, click on the second "Download" link from the top. You should be downloading a zip file. After extraction, just run Xmediarecode.exe

Much more user-friendly than MediaCoder!

it's really cool for compression (w/X-vid) & make sure you "Copy" & make a desktop icon otherwise it's not very usefull, but for compression (down to 96.6% w/ almost the same quality) can't be beat for that. Otherwise I would like to find out how to blur faces such as using the mosion Blur feature)

You can load flv with vitual dub by creating an avs file in notepad containing [DirectShowSource("the location of flv and title here" , fps=30] and saving as

I'm pretty sure he's using a program called Cam Studio (a freeware program for capturing the activity on your screen), and it has that feature built in and you can control the color of the cursor and everything. If you search Cam Studio on google you can download it for free.

I've looked into this software and it turns out that it's not really an editor at all. It's better described as a processor. While you can cut sections of video there is no way in which you can easily arrange various cuts to produce a video. Misleading title.

Well I just wanted to cut out the first 5 seconds of a DivX movie. So I did. It worked, it cut out the first 5 seconds. But it saved my movie file not in 1 large file, but in 30 smaller files. VirtualDub cut the movie into 30 files. So I was wondering, how I can get these 30 files back together as one or how I can let VirtualDub save that video in 1 large file? I hope somebody will be able to help me out. The solution can be very simple though. :) Thanks in advance.

You don't need any program to extract ZIP files, because Microsoft included a ZIP extractor + create a ZIP file using Windows Explorer. You can open the ZIP file or right click and click Extract All. And, you can extract the archive to a folder with the archive name using 7zip too.

I have .avi file which is wrongly compressed or something, it plays well in players, but when I try to open it with sony vegas, there is no sound at all, and when I try to split it into parts with Video Splitter, sound doesnt match the video...
