the crematorium really got me, i felt sick to my stomach.

I was previlaged to be able to walk through and tour Dachau. It is something that I will never ever forget. Thousands of Jews lost their lives. And yes, they did use the gas chambers there, but not the cremetoriums. For that the bodies were sent to Ashuwitz. Please God be with us to keep us from doing something that evil again. Think you got it a little wrong. The signs at the crematorium state that the gas chambers were never used as such but the crematorium was due to a large typhus outbreak which was why most died in the camp. There was de-lousing chambers where in-mates clothes were fumigated but these again were never used to kill anyone. Sending bodies to Auschwitz did not happen, Dachau cremated its own inmates. I have just been there on a visit last week and have photos stating this info if anyone requests.

The German government is still somewhat in denial as they refuse to admit the gas showers were ever used there. A must-see for all history buffs. My grandfather died in this camp in Dachau (in 1941). He was brought from Lodz in Poland to Dachau. He got shot here. My grandmother was German, they were both against the regime. Most people brought to Dachau, were people who were against the regime, that's why they said "shut up, or you go to Dachau".

The Red Cross was there at all the camps and officially recorded around 270,000 deaths in total from disease and malnutrition. Jews were only 23% of the Auschwitz population. USA sent medical teams to those camps, led by Major Charles Larson, to do autopsies and they never uncovered even one single person who had been murdered by the Germans. It was all disease and starvation caused by The Allies when they bombed the German supply warehouses.

I was previlaged to be able to walk through and tour Dachau. It is something that I will never ever forget. Thousands of Jews lost their lives. And yes, they did use the gas chambers there, but not the cremetoriums. For that the bodies were sent to Ashuwitz. Please God be with us to keep us from doing something that evil again. Think you got it a little wrong. The signs at the crematorium state that the gas chambers were never used as such but the crematorium was due to a large typhus outbreak which was why most died in the camp. There was de-lousing chambers where in-mates clothes were fumigated but these again were never used to kill anyone. Sending bodies to Auschwitz did not happen, Dachau cremated its own inmates. I have just been there on a visit last week and have photos stating this info if anyone requests.

Youre right in the many deaths at Dachau concentration camp. There are over 30.000 deaths the Nazis themselves CONFIRMED for Dachau, and many thousand people more who where not registered properly, in-part to disguise how they where being murdered.
Yet the crematoria HAD been in use! In fact, they where still smouldering, and had remnants of human bodies in them when the Americans liberated the camp in 1945. Inmates of Dachau had to breathe the scent of burning corpses almost all of the time.

But we know of one of Dachau camp- staff wartime notes, that he had gained profound knowledge on "how people behave when you gas them".

No disrespect intended. I am waiting for North America to recognize the 100,000,000 final solution of Native Americans and dream for the day they have a homeland of their own. American and jewish mental warfare artists had caused so much psychological damage to german citizens that they were forced in the 1950s to admit there never were any gas chamber deaths on german soil which proved the military films about gassings at Dachau were blatant lies, and reduced the claim from 22 "gas chamber" camps down to 6. US and jews insisted though they would continue with the lies about 6 inspection-barred camps in Poland due to their political needs in the ME.

I have been haunted by Dachau ever since visiting in the early 1980's. Horrific. Then to find out that the eugenics program actually began in California and American companies were making profits on the whole thing just made it worse. We have not learned much.

This video is immensely boring. Dachau was largely for political criminals and was ravaged by typhus in the months before the end of the war. Communists SHOULD be put in places like this.

I toured this camp two months ago (Nov 07) and was left stunned at the brutality that occurred there. The German government is still somewhat in denial as they refuse to admit the gas showers were ever used there. A must-see for all history buffs. A horrible tingle went down my back when I touched the bullet holes in the firing-squad wall near the bunker.

Both Israel and USA have officially acknowledged since the 1950s that there were no gas chambers at Dachau. Atrocities yes. Enough to make your head spin. But gas chambers? No, they were not used at Dachau. Similarly USA today commits atrocities in Iraq, GITMO, and elsewhere, but not with gas chambers. Sadly, the world has not really changed.

These camps weren't out in the middle of nowhere. They had neighbors closeby who knew very well what was going on there.
In my opinion, these places exist to show all of us humans what we can and have done to each other, and what we should never, ever to again to anyone.
I am continually shocked that people could staff these places and think of themselves as anything other than monsters. Unreal.

As for the staff, there were all very happy: good food, possibility of torturing the inmates and it was a lot better then going to fight on the front lines where they would be shot at. 400 000 germans helped the Nazis carry out their dirty work, after the war they never existed....

Indeed, its VERY EVIL to see all those water-toilets, washing dishes & radiators in the Cell-Blocks and the same in the Barracks. Have Prisoners all of it in present times and how did other Countries handle with "Criminals" in War-Time? Did you recognized the Pics from murdered Waffen-SS (from Barracks near) and SS-Guards from the "Liberators" -- they were hundreds! At least, the Pile of Corpses was there, cause the Crematory was running out of Coal WEEKS before. Did they inform you there too?

Ok so Dachau was a holiday resort for the friends of the Nazis. They built shower rooms next to a crematorium just to impress stupid tourists like myself. I also know that its a fake. It is there for tourists to feel a bit what the facilities would have been. Germans made certain that no real gas chambers survived the war, and none where in Germany anyway.

If you don't believe me, for what else are that Washing-Dishes, Water-Toilets and Radiators there. Are they all Fakes, or post-war-installed? Did you know, that the little Bridge from the Camp directly to the Crematory was a post-war-building? You CANT read that one at any Information-Board, but it's true. And what did you know about the Massacre from the "Liberators" "Thunderbird" Division on 29th of April 1945 at Hundreds of Waffen-SS (SS-Guards totally 40) - and post-war German Inmates there?

@franksfever No, these Chamber without Function is always there and maybe the most photographed Object. But i know, that this GC was build from GERMAN Inmates 1946. At 2003 they remove the Description: "Gas Chamber - NEVER in use" with the new Labelling: "Till 150 Humans can be suffocated at the same time with CyclonB until 15 to 20 Minutes" an another one with e.g. "This Gas Chamber was NOT use for massive Murdering. But some "Survivors" are sure, Individuals and Groups are being gassed here."

Thank you for posting this video. Two of my iuncles were interred in Dachau. One of the wrote a book about the experiences, which I am in the process of translating. This story shouold never be forgotten.

well it depends on your expectations really. Being a History aficcionado (my wife says I take pictures of any rock that someone says is old) I admired it very much. At least they didn't tear it down, even if it was prept up for tourists...

this camp is the the outskirts of Munich in southern Germany. It was the first to be built in 1933 and the last to be liberated in 1945 - 12 years of Nazi "freedom"

And did you know, how high was the death Rate in the greater Cities of Germany in these 12 Years - with or without the 6 Years of Bombing? At Peacetime, the natural, diseased or accident Death-Rate was always higher within all "Nazi"-Concentration Camps -- and no greater Changes of that Rate up to present Day.
