After pressing the stop button, the range finder doesn't instantaneously stop. It keeps rsing up a fraction after the button is pressed. It may have kep rising at least $2. On the other hand, the audience didn't noo or scream "give it to her anyway".
aw, i would have regretted that for the rest of my life ... I watched a video like this " The Range Game" where the guy was this close to but then it was Bob Barker and he said " close enough!!! "
If you set the video to Full screen (The little square on the bottom right below the video) you can clearly see she was definitley off by about $2 or 3 at that case.
I've seen this episode on the Price is Right Million Dollar Spectacular. Thats unusual for the contestant to have his or her name on a prize. Too bad that she did NOT win the prize.
Why? She clearly missed it. As an example, consider Check Game where the total is $6,001. The total is over $6000 therefore the contestant loses no matter what. In Check Out, if the difference is $2.01, it is more than $2, so the contestant loses. In Grocery Game, if the total is $20.01, it is over $20, so the contestant loses. In Card Game, if you draw a $3000 card and the difference is $3001, the contestant loses. Why should this be any different?
That loss was truly PAINFUL! I thought she had that one.
I have seen worse painful losses on this game...especially on the taping I went to last year when Bob Barker was still hosting---one guy missed the prize by going over by $6 and I was one of the people in the Peanut Gallery who felt partly responsible for costing him on that prize.
Yes, but it wasn't technically a win, Bob just gave it to the contestant. And I have a feeling that he would've done the same here, its too bad Drew doesn't have those type of powers.
I saw it on TV as well. That's GOTTTA HURT. And what's more, she clearly missed it too, so there's no argueing whether or not the judgement on whether or not she won was wrong...
drew shouldve gave that one to her. bob did when a contestant was in that situation. check out the video entitled "close range game"

See...Closest Range Game Finish Ever, another video on here. A contestant was clearly off by about a buck, but Bob gave it to him anyway.
This just seemed so meant to be, with her name matching the trailer.

So close and yet so far. I do agree. You are right on what you posted.
