Wonderfull video,, and what a tramendus location, with the line runnining up through the town,, thats how a steam loco should be seen,, working hard up a gradient, shame it all seems in doubt,, cracking video ,, well done
What a fantastic sight and sound. Especially that final departure. If this does indeed prove to be the final train on the branch then what a way to bow out! Just one question - in these health and safery obsessed days, how did the young lad end up on the footplate?
Brilliant video.. Typical example of a Stagecoach bus driver though.. selfish company which has blighted the whole country with it's awful red white blue & orange and crap service. Lovely to see Ollie Cromwell running. That was my first ever Hornby steam engine too way back in the 60s.
Fantastic video James. Well done for capturing what was a momentous day from so many angles. It was nice to meet you after the final departure. It's always good to put a face to the names on here.
If this is the last train to the harbour you have done it proud, but I certainly hope it is not the last one the branch needs to be kept alive so that our children and grand children can enjoy it.

Excellent camerawork as ever. Quite spooky that you did footage from a lot of the photspots that I did my stills from!
