  • What kind of inks do you use? And can you use oil based?

  • inks should be water based because the gelatin plate is water based. I use speedball water based block printing ink and Daniel Smith water soluble block printing inks. You can experiment with other water based media like, acrylics, and water colors, poster paints & screen printing inks. Some people use the akua inks but I did not have much luck with them. You just have to experiment. Have fun.
