This is Van Zelinge electric upright bass clearly heard as the bass instrument here, but I wonder if it's Darryl Jones playing it, or Sting. Or maybe two basses at once - but there's also a guitar heard, so it's becoming really complicated :>

@tnleverett I know what he's playing on the album, but in this particular song I can hear Sting's electric upright bass , and the question is - did Sting allow Darryl Jones to play it (I wouldn't!) ? In the BOTN movie, during performance of I Burn For You, Jones is playing his bass guitar, and Sting is given the electric upright for the outro, but it's not even plugged in.

One of my all-time favorites. The studio version is okay, too, but this version has infinitely more depth. Actually all of the songs on this live CD are phenomenal -- the "Bring on the Night" versions are the versions ones I choose to play, despite owning copies numerous other versions of all the same songs.

Whenever I go to see a live act, this is the type of performance that I go to see!

I am a musician, and nothing irritates me more, than to go to a concert, and be forced to pay to see the artist or group, "walk" through a set.

If people have paid to see you, they should get the best that you have to give!

Brimstone and Treacle- early Sting role (if not the first movie role) in which he's the villain. The movie is from the soundtrack, and was not released on a Police album in America, to my knowlege.

First movie role was as a "mod" called "Ace-Face" in the Who's 1979 feature 'Quadraphenia'.
