Read quran and hadith then u will find what is the truth. If u listenonly to the words of scholars who knows nothing about islam then ur destination is hell fire. Don't use allahs name to scorn or blame someone (wahabi) . So think is ur scholars are muslim. In fact there is no difference between them and jews. They want to make Islam as business. Try to learn what they say before u blame them. Jazahkaallah khair .

just stop talking nonsense.i 100% do not agree with the speaker.these guys believes that if one person is dead then no ones pray reach him ,,,i mean that even if we recite any part of quran ,its not beneficial for the dead person..........
Actually, the recitation of Ya Sin has been specifically commanded in what has been narrated by Imam Ahmad and al-Nasai and Ibn Majah that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Read Ya Sin for your dead." Ibn Hibban rigorously authenticated this hadith.
Quran reciting is a good deed (amal saliha). Thavassul by good deed is acceptable (refer to the pray of the people who were in a cave). Those who attend the funeral can recite quran and pray to Allah by thawassul of this good deed. Reciting quran may not be profitable to the deceased but the pray will be beneficial. Allah knows the best.
Most of our talks are not good. It is better to recite Quran, rather than talking something else. I am opposing the speakers argument that, we should not recite Quran, thinking that it is good for the dead persons soul. Even without any proofs, recitation of Quran will stop our normal talkings near the dead body. My comment was agaist the speakers argument and not to that of yours.
We have the clear proof that Ibn Umar (may Allah bless him) asked Al-Baqrah or part of it to be recited during his burial or over his grave! Imam Ibn Taimiyyah, Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, Imam Qurtubi, Imam Ibn Qudama, etc. support this view! Ibn Kathir's opposite view is an opinion of Imam Shafii, which many later Shafii scholars didn't accept, respectfully! Pls see, Majmua Fataawa Ibn Taimiyyah vol on Fiqh, Al-Tadhkirah of Qurtubi, Mughni of Ibn Qudama, etc. These people were not Khurafis!

As a conclusion reciting Quran is always good even near the dead body .But the dead person won't get the profit from it.Thats all.
