Schools are suppose to be religiously neutral, schools as much as they should not teach children to believe in god, should also not teach children to not believe in god. Religion can't be taught in school... neither can Atheism. Schools are suppose to be religiously neutral, schools as much as they should not teach children to believe in god, should also not teach children to not believe in god. However, the National Pledge said in all schools doesn't obey this, in fact, it contains the following line.
"one nation under God"
This line is not religiously neutral, it assumes monotheistic belief and thus schools teach children to believe in god more then not.

Personally I am happy to live in UK where such a line does not have to be said, however in Junior school we still have assemblies where preys to God were still said and song. But even back then I did not believe in it (remembering that UK juniors schools are 7 to 10 years old). I think I was born Atheist but toke on a more Agnostic Atheist belief later on. I suspect having family and friends whom showed no interest in religion. However as a Child I was forced to read a prey I did not believe in.

You say that it's not democratic - but IF the 1 star people are voters, then this is a feature of a **voluntary** democracy. Time is not linear. The Heisenburg principle(Uncertainty Principle)shows that it is fundamentally impossible to measure the position and the momentum of a particle at the same time with accuracy. In regards to Jesus ever existing he is mentioned in non-biblical text. Cornelius Tacitus & Suetonius were Roman historians. Flavius Josephus was a Jewish historian. They mentioned Jesus and they were not Christians. He is also mentioned in the Talmud which is a Jewish document. There were no printing presses or bookstores at that time in history and Rabbis would often memorize the entire old testament.
