It's soo interesting that These two come two passionately opposing countries, Jewish Isreal and Arab Lebanon, yet they unite to perform the Rachmaninov with divinity unmatched.
Wonderful, total harmony, the sweetness of Rachmaninov all rendered in perfection! Rachmaninov's chamber music is often played in a negative melancholic mood, while it's powerful and positive. But definitely it's a pity the recording was not balanced as to the peaks, clipping most of the time in the fortissimo passages ...., but I laud it nonetheless because of the integrity of the artists. Rachmaninov is not easy to play because when you miss the nobility, you render a sort of Colonial Jazz...
The cello has such a smooth, beautiful sound.

A lazy vibrato? If he were to accentuate it any more it would sound agitated and messy! It is perfect for this piece: gentle yet powerful.

Bravissimo!! Truly inspirational to all aspiring cellists. Amit plays as if he will "break" the cello (Casals would have loved him...)
