  • Hi. First off. Great video! Thanks for making it.

    I have a few questions.

Does the latest 2011 LED backlit displays of the imac 21.5 or 27 inch compares to that of an LCD tv (on which a non HD movie looks great)

And, what is the difference between iMac's 27 inch LED backlit screen and Cinema Display's screen?

    Thanks much!

  • why would you have a imac in a shed

  • @TheDieselVEVO

Not a nerd, its just easy to tell that four is better than two. And clearly I dont have a lot to learn, maybe you need to learn a thing about basic numbers.

And if you don't want to get called an idiot, then don't resort back to name calling. You called me a prick, a cunt, and other terms.

    Im done.

  • @TheDieselVEVO

You know you are wrong and you have no counter-argument so you resort to making fun of my username? I don't really care about that considering I have been using this channel since I was 13. Good job 'TheDieselVEVO'.

  • @TheDieselVEVO

iMac is not a waste of money. It has a 27" 2560 by 1440 IPS panel (which costs $1000+ already, look at a similar dell monitor), a quad core processor (better than the Mac Mini, idiot), and a better GPU.

The monitor by itself is not a rip off either now, considering it is using thunderbolt and new thunderbolt technology costs a lot. The display also has added new features like fire wire and other stuff. Cost will lower once they come out for Windows also.

  • @TheDieselVEVO

Mac Mini does not have better specs than the iMac are you high?

And the Mac Mini with the dedicated GPU + the thunderbolt display is the same cost as an imac, and imac has a hard drive, quad core CPU, and a better GPU

  • @TheDieselVEVO umad

  • @TheDieselVEVO .... wtf are you talking about?

  • Try that with a PC

  • @TheDieselVEVO Why?

  • Windows would have thought fuck this and just shut down lol.

  • Should I get i5 or i7 for iMac 27?

It's for video editing and gaming.

  • Check out my channel for some kick ass Android vids

  • i don't like to watch 7 movies at once. :P

  • my windows computer can barely start up .___.

  • any windows would explode

  • I got 16 HD videos and no lag. Because unlike mac I just bought at $72 heatsink installed it and within 1 hour I got my 2.66GHZ PC into a 3.3GHZ with the temps dropping to 30c. Do that with an Imac for less then 1200 AU lol

  • @DemonAMVs wtf is the use of that ?

  • @Seantube3 Its called overclocking, not that a mac user would know what that is seeing they can't do it.

  • @DemonAMVs no I know what overclocking is , I mean running 16 HD vids at the same time , wtf is the use of that ?

  • @Seantube3 Whats the use of running 7 HD vids at the same time? Ask this guy first.

  • @DemonAMVs lol

  • This is how i have a computer running anyway ADHD all the way

  • now you can see 7 pornos at the same time XD

  • too bad there is no practical application of playing back 7 hd videos at the time.

  • @alexthomasdude Pretty sure he's just showing the power of the computer...

  • Got my iMac fot the half-price :)

    Used this guide. walkthroughs.blog.com/

  • HD DVD, er HDVD, uhm, DVD HD, ugg HD content ahuh...

know wtf your talking about before you blather like a retard.

what encoding format are the videos? file size? codec? resolution? cpu ussage?

    hurrr durrrr preehththhhhhh unnnnngggg

  • @olivenoire1 lol ;)

  • NO problem for a Mac

  • there is a BIG different beetween i3 and 5 you cant do that on i3 :(

  • @schweingut1 and what can it do with an i7? :D

  • Can't wait to get mine only another £400 to save up over the next 2 months.

  • @RMCKIE whoo! I need only to save up like a1500 bucks over the next 5 months ;)

  • Youre not rendering the videos in fullscreen

  • i have the same computer but with corei7

  • @ilovegameshad Same

  • @ilovegameshad oh my god your some much cooler than this guy!!!!!!

  • @bagofsuck22 ooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • awesome man

  • Comment removed

  • not a real practical test is it?

  • funny, I play a youtube on my current model i3, and it stops and the circle thing goes round and round etc

maybe I should upgrade the guts of the Imac?

  • @alanbstard4 ur imac has nothing to do with that.. youtube videos load based on internet connection, the videos hes playing are played off of the hdd and requires no internet connnection, the performance of that is based off of the computers memory

  • @daoldGNRrox thankyou. So I need to upgrade memory

  • @alanbstard4 for youtube videos all you need to upgrade to or have is a good internet connection...if ur computers running slow when ur trying to play movies or videos off ur hard drive then u should upgrade memory

  • @daoldGNRrox ok thanks

  • @alanbstard4 so basically the only reason that spinning circle is coming up when u watch a youtube video is because ur internet connection is not that great

  • @daoldGNRrox I had the electrician in today and had the place rewired. Hopefully it will make a difference

  • i love my iMac 27 i7... but I also have a PC with Windows... when u have both then u are really complete... but Mac is better!!!!

  • @olivenoire1 The user did not intend to make this video to prove that Mac is superior. But here you are saying that the Mac is superior just because of HD playbacks? In short, the Mac may be superior, but not because it can perform multiple HD playbacks as shown here.

  • @olivenoire1 Mac superiority? Don't you think a PC can do the same thing?

  • Who ever thought that an imac cannot do this in the first place? This is just playback and not graphics rendering so definitely an imac can handle it.

  • @chueey14 If 1080p video is not in the quicktime format, it will require a lot of cpu work as well as a lot of ram.

  • I have this exact computer and it rocks!!!! Best computer I have ever owned. Never going back to windows ever again.

  • Why didn't you die in the church

  • this is awesome... ;)

  • my macbook pro does that too.

  • @lfrg04 man , your macbook cant have 27inch screen...

  • every vid is 1080?

  • nice glare

  • You can build a good PC but IMO nothing handles video and photo editing like a Mac. Wanna game then stick with a PC for it's upgradeable components.

  • @AgileMJOLNIR Sadly, Mac handles 1080p MKVs like... well, let's just say it handles them very badly.

  • amazing

  • beast

  • This Computer is just begging for a blu-ray drive!!

  • @BrooklynBros you can always build one in yourself! :)

  • @BrooklynBros too bad Steve Jobs doesn't believe in 1080 resolution :(

  • @BrooklynBros apple will lose money from itunes store movie rentals.

  • @billygou Physical media is passé.

  • @BrooklynBros it is!

  • @BrooklynBros When it comes i reckon most of the people already owning macs can buy aftermarket versions.

  • I can do that PC.

  • this is a great computer..I have a 24 inch I bought in 2007...and so its already 2010

so I guess its time for a upgrade

  • pwoned i got the 27 inch 17 2 ghz uad core antiraion guy with fast typing = messy sppelling and 2tb hard driv imac

  • Immediate PC Crash

  • @KingOfOneselfTV lol, how bad is your pc then

  • @bood3e Not really bad its just as we all know PCs do not perform half as well as Macs

  • i have this!!

  • thing of beauty

  • Mane I have 2 get da iMac 27"

  • im so jealous!!!

  • @aidiero me too... But! I will get mine in about 5 months :D Maybe there's the new iMac :D

  • good test of the video card ability. i say: it passed

  • too bad this machine doesn'tplay blu ray disc.

HP touchsmart quad core does though

  • @tom11zz884 yea... but come on... blu-ray is more of a freebie and is best on your tv

  • @tom11zz884

You get always get an external USB or FireWire 800 Blu-Ray player.

  • wow this was shocking!

  • i have mine:D!!

  • can imac 27 inch c2d do it? the normal one not i5 or i7

  • @zerackid probably not as fast... because the graphics card is alot weaker and the cores are not up to multi-tasking with hd movies like that... but its not too bad if your not multi-tasking... get it if you can... the sreen makes up for it =]

  • What a beauty.

  • replace those with some porn= awesomeness LOl jk

  • @demyrik no joke,that would be awesomeness.

  • Wow this is beast! Nothings lagging!

  • my MBP C2D 2,26 Ghz also can do that ... where is the goodness in that video ?

  • @DjNayrobi Yeah. And also, those are just trailers. Watching seven actual full-length 1080p remuxed movies should be a different story. But then again, it's not possible due to the software limitations and the fact that QT can't play m2ts or mkv (haven't seen remuxes in other formats).

  • Very Nice

  • I use my 27inch iMac to watch all the 6 Rocky movies and a porno simultaneously.

  • man Americans make the best computers

  • Now the question is, who watches 7 films at the same time?

  • impressive

  • Does anybody know what this is like for rendering 1080p movies? Would it be able to handle it?

  • @CPHComputerHelp95 thats not the question, lol nobody does thats not the point, he's proving how much stress u can put on the i5 chip, imagine gaming and everything else on this thing

  • impressive

  • AHHHHHH STOP IT!!!!!!! I wanna get that damn thing so baaaad! haha :P I bet you're super happy with it. I don't know when I'll be able to get it :(

  • @Mattsana I KNOW I FEEL THE SAME!! :( I want is SO bad thats all Ive blabbed on about latley!!! My mums fed up of me talking about them and Its been in my dreams...I bet it'll only be in my dreams...:'( *sniff* What I'd give to have one of them babies right now! Makes me want to cry...D:

  • @PrincesspeachyX I ordered it Aug 1st and still haven't recieved it. But I'll get it Tuesday. I CAN'T WAIT!

  • Does this mac have something like Word on Microsoft?

Thats probably a stupid question, but I am a total newbie with Mac.

  • @Erithlon You can get Microsoft Office for Mac,its the same as its PC counterpart only for Mac.

  • Great little demo!

  • it is not processing any hd video. it only processing it when in full screen. ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card with 512MB of GDDR3. it could o nly run about 2 hd videos on 2 different 1080 screens. when trying 3 it drops to snaking video. you could easily run 100+ different hd videos on it if the videos are in small enough windows. the smaller the window the smaller the resolution of video each video that is playing.

  • I agree, if he wanted to test HD play an HD movie lol

Not like you have to go prove it has great HD though, its hot a higher pixel count than HD

  • @Pdariean The resolution of the "scaled-down" video is different to 1080p, yes, of course! But the thing that doesn't change is the video bit-rate; this remains the same, and this is what creates the consistently sharper image; therefore, it is still processing the same amount of information, just displaying it differently.

  • I'm getting mines this week. I would like to know how much RAM you running? 4G or higher?

  • nice thinking dude

  • i am officially saving up now.

  • Very useful vid actually, i plan on getting one this spring and i was concerned how it would handle 1080p, since my macbook gets a little choppy with even 720p if i have a few apps running in the background.

so, i think i'll be alright haha

  • yeah.. i always see 7 films simultaneously...

  • @andrearsv xD its a performance test.

  • @andrearsv serve per vedere le prestazioni e ovvio che non guardi tutti quel film contemporaneamente...windows fà fatica già con 2...

  • @0101OSX ovviamente ero ironico -.-"

  • @andrearsv ah...no perchè tanta gente lo dice per davvero

  • @0101OSX ;D

  • @andrearsv need to see the performance and obviously do not watch that movie all at once ... Windows already has trouble with two ...

  • @andrearsv its just showing how cood the cpu is and how you can multi tast, obviously you wouldnt know anything about this you troll

  • @Element095 do a course in irony

  • nice screen. but you know that cpu costs 150 bucks and the i7 is 200 bucks... you pay a lot for aluminium.. well what the its worth it I guess

  • @lakshmere It's costs almost 200$ to upgrade to the i7 lol, apple really values there aluminum...

  • holy shit!!!

  • Holy F

  • What's the name of the movie at the upper right corner?

  • Banlieu 13 ultimatum as it is a French prod. , or District 13 Ultimatum in English. It's actually a sequel, before to see this one i suggest you the first, District 13. both are nice action and parkour movies.

  • thanks!

  • @aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanon Then what are you waiting for commenting on the Mac vids? PLAY YOUR FUCKING GAMES!

  • Should have mine next Friday.... I'm stoked!!!!!

  • Show off lol.Nice vid.

  • bad ass!!!!

  • ok that iMac is really good..but how do you get HD Movies on the pc..because he doesnt read bluray disc's..

  • We don't give a fuck about PC.. your Fucking Bluray PC can run 8 HD VIDEOS??? Tell me..!! Because I had a Bluray PC and I can't run more than 2 HD videos (4GO RAM..) ..Now I'm Mac and I'm proud..Proud because my computer don't crash anymore..and I can run 20 things at the same time...Proud because I don't have to worry about viruses and Fake software..proud by the way the give us a real Computer not a fake badass thing...I'm Mac now...I was PC till 93...got it!

  • @doopyx Interesting my computer, a windows 7 home-made, can do that with the CPU almost at idle, 20%. It's called GPU-acceleration. Plus my computer costed 800$ less.

The reason he can do this is a API called OpenCL, it enables some GPU acceleration since he has the HD4850.

  • Yeah..OK..

  • @frostyfireman we know that, the iMac do that as well, because OpenCL was actually developed by Apple on his snow leopard OS...

  • @MarvinL007 There are multiple ways. Download them from a bit torrent illegally, some bluray disc have a digital version you can download when you buy the disc, there are probably sites to buy HD quality movies online, a Optical disc rip software able to bypass the protection on the disc. I've heard of itunes HD downloads, that might be an option too. Blu-ray would still be the best option since it wouldn't use up harddrive space.

  • i am waiting for my imac i7 since 2 months

  • yea when i first orderd it, it said it would ship in 3 weeks.... today it said 3 more months! so we're canceling the order and just gettin the i5 in the store..can't wait though awesome computer!

  • i got mine two days after i made that comment

  • the new iMacs own. It's OS X + the apps that make it so good.

if all I wanted to do is play yet another FPS, yeah I'd get a PC because thats all they are good for. Macs are now just as good at doing that too. Plus you get everything else.

  • That thing is a damn monster. I think we will be getting one!

  • now thats what you call multitasking

  • Impressive!

  • holly shit!!!

    that was brilliant!

  • I can easily hear some high pitch noise .. what is it?

  • @ezriderhr I think it's the recorder.

  • Nice test!

  • wow... thanks for the upload. Im getting one myself for christmas and this just made my day :)

  • That's effin INSANE!!!
