Glad theyre going back to Pitch Black style COR was ok but Riddick was more badass in the first movie plus mr Johns was a much better villain the Necromongers, they were a bit crap and annoying. The mercs were good though so hopefully there will be more of them this time round. Looking forward to this one.

RIDDICK ROCKS!!!! Both movies kicked total ass and I'm sure whatever the next film brings to the big screen will also be epic. But for sure it's not coming out in 2011. Can't wait.

@Connerluver4 I don't think its retelling any story, its gonna continue on from COR but the movie will be a lower-budget, lower cast number movie like Pitch Black was (and honestly that will probably make for a better movie).

Love the Chronicles of Riddick to death! I'm sorta interesting to see how they manage to incorporate both "Pitch Black" and the first "C.O.R." into this one! Thumbs up if Riddick is WAY too underated! <3

Yea i just hope they dont drop off the whole fact that he is now the leader of the necro army. But i really really hope that they do end up going into the underverse, it would be sweet to see riddick obatin a power similiar to his main adversary in the Chronicles Of Riddick. But i do think the violent atmosphere that Pitch Black had would be awsome to bring back.

I liked Pitch Black way more than the Chronicles of Riddick.. probably because I prefer the alien planet and survival - it seems more realistic than the Necro people. Plus I loved the Caroline character from Pitch Black - I was soooo frustrated when she died at the end :( I wish she lived instead of the Jackie/Kyra girl. Riddick and Caroline were awesome.

anybody else see how he changed his acting style for Riddick from pitch black to TCOR? I liked his attitude and demeanor better in PB. He seemed badass without forcing it, and laid back at the same time. I did like TCOR but I just felt it left the cool realism of the universe that PB had set up. I hope they get back to the PB style more.

Riddicks an awesome character, but I wish Vin stayed truer to his original take on him. There were subtle things he did in PB that made Riddick who he is.

ultimateCap, thats the beauty of a dynamic character, he can change how he acts/feels towards different circumstances. i think both riddicks were equally badass tho.

I totally agree with you and I also noticed that change of charachter between PB and TCoR. He was way more badass and cooler in the first one and more of an antihero rather than a hero. The whole feeling that Riddick actually is a criminal and a murdurer felt gone in TCoR. If you haven't played the games yet, then i recomend you to do so if you now do like the original take on Riddick =)

The visuals of 'Chronicles of Riddick' were what kept me watching, and frankly, I was entertained by everything that flew across the screen--even the clunky script. The action was thrilling and oh god the visuals were like a geyser of awesomeness and scifi coolness exploding in my eyes! I cannot wait for a third Riddick movie!!!!!! I just hope it works. In another interview, Vin mentioned how brawls with monsters would be drawn out to be whole acts--i bet it will be beautiful though.

Riddick in Pitch Black style is only gonna be good if the story is good. The style of Chronicles of Riddick was beautiful, but the script absolute crap. That's why it wasnt supported by the publisher, and why no-one watched it and why no-one played the award winning game, Escape From Butcher Bay
