  • The school for the blind team here won state like 10 times...

  • Man, to bad he already graduated. Would have been in a wrestling tournament with the guy. I forgot what team has a deaf wrestler though, but I mean this deaf wrestler is AMAZING.

  • That's a nice story, but I don't think the rules should be changed. Deaf people and those missing one or more limbs have successfully competed in the sport without handicaps.

Either that or everyone should have the option to in this manner.

  • Guys, I saw one movie about blind wrestler... Does anybody know name of movie? I think it was USA movie.

  • @harry346471655 it was a disney movie called Going to the Mat im almost positive that's the name

  • @atz123ify Thank you!!! alot! :)

  • soo he can see

  • As someone with some grappling experience, I can say that this is not as much of a disadvantage as you might think. Touch is the sense used the most, and being used to not using sight might even be an advantage.

  • He actually has a HUGE advantage. For all the people on here who do a grappling sport try doing it with your eyes closed. You can feel the set ups so much better. I prefer to keep my eyes closed when I am in a tie because then I can feel their center of balance and their leg placement. You also don't over think set ups then.

  • if u were blind u would need to be touching them to wrestle it would be so unfair

  • respect

  • being deaf tends to be a bigger handicap than being blind in wrestling, they tend to not have as good of balance, especially if the inner ear which senses balance is messed up, i'd rather be blind than deaf probably

  • all blind wrestlers happen to be really great, they have a fire that others dont, they also just tend to be stronger, i dont think that they should create rules to make it so that they have to have physical contact with them, it doesn't really give an advantage to anyone, i just think it's a double standard, i think they should have they same rules for everyone, no one should be able to break away from any one if you aren't allowed to for blind kids.

  • @afh1203 lol what you just said is the dumbest thing ever.... There are only a handful of legally blind kids in wrestling... So they are suppose to change the rule of wrestling because of it...

  • @kingcrazy510 i was just saying the blind kids should wrestle with the same rules as the rest of us, you have to stay in contact with blind kids, anyone else you can break away and sometimes you need that to set up a shot, if you can't do that against a blind kid then you can't do as much as you can against at normal kid.

  • @afh1203 The rule book is not changed specially for this guy. The official rule book states that there has to be contact at all times when wrestling a blind person

  • @alexdinamite how is that any different than what i said, there shouldn't be a rule that you have to keep contact with a blind wrestler, it was rule that was created for blind wrestlers that can be a dis-advantage to others

  • @afh1203 Well i am pretty sure that the wrestler that is BLIND is STILL in a DISADVANTAGE. besides most wrestlers use set ups before shooting and it's also what you see at the top level so I don't see how being in contact at all times is a disadvantage for the other wrestler

  • I have such a huge respect for this young man. Instead of letting his condition stop him, it's made him even MORE determined. Man, you just gotta respect that.

What a terrific attitude he has...

  • jeshua is hella strong hes way buffer now! hes going to be training me! hes a close friend of mine. hes an inspiration to me.

  • He was my wrestling partner last year.this year he helped coach the team.he's a great partner to work with.and he's fucking strong.

  • most sports need a ball,

    wrestling requires 2

  • @ThaJoker71 ohhhh i like that! immma use that wen someone trys dissin on wrestling

  • This is really not uncommon. I wrestle blind kids all the time.

  • i'll fuck the shit outta dat reporter

  • @TrashMan0mar he would too

  • In Arizona, I had to wrestle a blind kid, its stupid how you have to have contact with them at all times. It's not like we have to wrestle like that against non-blind people. Either accept the rules the way they are, or don't wrestle.

  • thats my cousin right there.....and all yall that r hatin....HI HATER!!!!!!! das wassup cuz do ur thing nd fuck them haters.........

  • I've been able to meet Jeshua And I think that all of you that are saying that it is not fair that the rules are changed for him are just hating... Jeshua is a great wrestler and he just recently took 1st in League and 4th in CCS and to complain that he gets one thing changed for him and is unfair is BS. He is a great wrestler and we should be proud that we could have a person like him wrestling and not just giving up on sports Now stop hating and just congratulate him for being a good wrestler.

  • haha ya im the one he beat to get to the 3-4 place ccs fucking hella streangth

  • @But0blaster dang how strong is he?

  • i think i saw this guy wrestle at one of the tournaments i went to...crazy hes great at wrestling

  • i was watching him wrestle at george washington invatational he cut his hair haha but yea he is really good he does alot of vines

  • ive seen a kid wrestle without any limbs past his elbows or knees.

    it was really surreal.

  • i got to see this guy wrestle

  • i think that its inspiring that ppl can do that. but that rule is slightly unfair for some people due to the fact that not all wrestlers wanna be tied up. infact alot of teams teach not ot tie up at all and to move nad shoot. i mean ya u gotta be curtious to him. but its not completely fair

  • who cares if the rules change a little, thats part of the potential dangerous rule thats in wrestling. any situation when they arent touching is a potential dangerous situation. im way better tied up anyway.

  • I am visually impared too and I wrestled for 4 year in high school and it would be fun if we did a blind wrestling tournament

  • wow thats just dumb to think that we should be able to break contact with blind wrestlers itd make it way unfair alls wed have to do is like grab a leg we wouldnt need a set up and theyd have no defence because theyd have no idea what is coming and it would be more unfair to them to be able to break contact then it is for us to not be able to its a good rule

  • If you like high school wrestling check out my channel and see how blind people do it. Try KSB invitational 2008.

  • way to go Jeshua. I watched your match (video) on sat. (01/06/08), you were awesome. for you 99Steve, I wonder if you would still feel the same if you are blind?

  • Im all for equal oppertunity and I admire this kids success; However, the fact that the have to be touching at all times is completly unfair to his opponents. Many wrestlers like to shoot from the outside and create distance but against him that is taken away from them. If he wants to wrestle props to him but he should be forced to abide to the same rules as everyone else.

  • I am visaully impared and i wrestle and i don't get why you think we should abide by the visual rules. If we loose contact then we don't know where our apponent is that is why we must stay in contact.

  • I had to wrestle a blind wrestler once. It really didn't affect me or him too much. He was crazy good, also...
