A religion that actually has proof and facts needs to cooperate side by side with science, always re-thinking the religion when scientific discoveries are made. @jasonthebarbarian Nobody follows Darwin blindly. Darwin made some discoveries, collected a load of evidence and presented it. Things we can actually see and touch and experiment with.

You are right about protestants though, they felt that going back to the bible was going to the source although the catholics had already distorted it by then and in any case preferred the interpretations of the priests as reading was practically banned for the lower classes under catholic rule.
