This is "Magic Dance" by David Bowie (not Thom Yorke) and its used in "The Labyrinth". Apart from that, this is a user made video, the song originally doesn't appear in Requiem for a Dream. So sorry man, i don't get your point and it seems youre talking complete bullshit.

Ah yes. wow....I just came back to listen to this song...to get my mind off my ex getting with the guy I told to talk to her to help get over me...and I read the comments and I read....my old comment not knowing it was mine :)
This movie is different!, it''s not for the people who appriciate only those regular romantic comedies, this is a amazingly well done movie and very watchable. Anyway, thats how i feel about it , i just love different movies :D!
I know the word is overused alot these days but Thom Yorke IS a genius. This film 'Requiem for a dream' is brilliant too... one of the darkest films i've ever seen
what do you get when you put a brilliant artist who's stories move the heart with a movie that was so frightening in its depiction of reality....you get this. Heh. Brilliance upon brilliance.
Yes, all shots are from "Requeium for a Dream." Darren Aronofsky is one of the most talented directors working today, unfortunately he's only made 3 feature films so far: this, "Pi" and "The Fountain."
it is missing almost one second at the beginning. the song starts with thom inhaling and then starting to sing. it is interesting that every file sharing version is missing that first instant of the song. when i ripped my version it was fine.
I'm sure he was able to do this all himself. All he would need is a computer. The beats are obviously from a machine and not an actual drum kit. Mind you I'm not arguing, just saying it's highly possible that he did this all himself, other wise why would it be a solo album?
you dont have to do everything yourself for it to be a solo album. Just him being apart from the rest of radiohead makes it solo. working with different producers and artists doesnt mean its no him solo..as long as hes not with everyone from radiohead its solo.
lol people on youtube get so het up, what happened to watching and enjoying the video? but it appears starting arguements and proving points is exceeding the actual point of youtube. ahaha
I think Radiohead and Thom Yorke lost their "Mmph" musically. I've been bored with Radiohead since "Hail to the Theif". Where's the peaks and valleys they used to cover like on all previous albums (except Amnesiac)? Now it all just seems like one giant boring plain.
Are you kiddin, the amount of musical thought and expertise that is put into these recent albums like the Eraser and Hail to the Theif is five times more than any of the preceding ones.
OMG if only you think synthesizers used minimally is ground breaking music then you should start a indie band and you could become a solo artist. Radiohead is dead. They were known for their experimental direction and progressive song layouts.
You filthy modernist! Go listen to Antheil and read Greenberg so you don't have to "waste" your time with Radiohead. (But I highly recommend the many live and acoustic vids, perhaps they can give you the intangible "peaks and valleys" you so enjoy.)
I listen to this and its just one second's worth of laid out music looped for the duration of the song. Throw in improv base and vocals and there u go. The new radiohead sound. Ground breaking my ass.
The video is depressing as hell. A schizophrenic woman being compared to 2 drug addicted people. The sort of stuff you'd expect from radiohead except they express it with a different vehicle: Techno rock. Oh well. Nothin good ever lasts.
uh.. this isn't a music video and a schizophernic is not being compared to drug addicts. Either read Requiem for a dream or watch the movie before you make assumptions of the sort.
Yes they are, the schizophrenic lady wants to be the famous person on TV. And the drug addicts want to find the high all the time. But like the song says, "No time to think things throuhg to analyse the problem." Maybe the movie is different, you idiot, but for the sake of this song, my interpretation is as valid as any other a-hole with an opinion.
"Yes they are... the schizophrenic lady... But like the song says... No time to ..."
No, moron. What he's telling you is, this isn't a music video. It's film cuts that some regular guy posted thom's music to. Neither Radiohead nor Thom yorke is expressing anything through this.
whats this idea about life repeating itself and looking for something higher...or that moment when you feel as if your actually alive and not just living...his music is wonderful
i think i'm now addited to watching the videos, i've been addicted to the albuim for like a mont, didn't even tihnk about there being any video's for some reason
