  • The little gauntlet one has to run after posting "too many" comments in order to continue posting is the most thoroughly asinine aspect to YouTube. It only serves to qualify one as capable of distinguishing squigly letters. Thus, one earns the right to post again.

It is the dumbest damned nuisance.

    Anyway, pretty cool song.

  • Thom you are a genius!

  • Great music

  • requiem for a dream

  • What movie is this?

  • I like this song, I love the movie too!!

  • I want to hear this song the moment i pass away..

    it will just ease it..

  • @TheUssr5 if this song came on as i was about to die, id fight to live just so i could finish the song

  • As much as I like this version, Thom Yorke singing it live is better.

  • Thom Yorke, along with radiohead, are the greatest musical minds of all time

  • Genious

  • nice song for requiem for a dream!! i get the same feeling.!

  • HAHA jared leto HAHAHA

  • Awesome video. Keep at it.

  • Comment removed

  • This song and this movie are so wonderful...i love it!

  • this song fits well with this movie...both are quite awesome indeed...

  • jennifer connelly is the most beautiful woman alive

  • you remind me of the babe. What Babe?.Babe with the power. What power? Power of voodoo, who do?you do, who what?remind me of the babe... they always use Thom Yorke songs at the end of US films now to make them seem more like independent films

  • There There

  • Sorry for the cypticness I'll explain Jennifer Collenerny or whatever shes called was the girl in Labarynth I thought it was self explanitory was just writting sht then as now

  • @j3parrots

This song was used in The Prestige, a film crafted by Christopher Nolan, who happens to be English.

  • @j3parrots this was actually in the film The Prestige which is actually british soooo yea

  • @TheDrawingOfThree i saw it last night, it was incredible

  • @tugia1 It is pretty fucking epic going on the list of my greats

  • Ya rad shto vi slushaete xoroshuyu muziku v Rossi. Molottsi!

Kogda ya bil tam y vas, ya slishal ondu glupostu po radio.

    Poka. Keep listening!

  • ...awesome Aronofsky, brilliant Yorke. Thx for the upload.

  • that movie....

  • Jennifer Connally is so beautiful.

  • IT'S CARROT TOP 0:46 !!!!!

  • yes, requiem for a dream

  • this is Requiem for a Dream?

  • yes.

  • Well that was gloomy.

  • It's Thom Yorke. It's bound to be!

  • Darren Aronofsky should make 3 movies, one with Thom Yorke music, another one with Clint Mansell (well like always), and another one with Aphex Twin

  • 1:45-2:04 is soooooooo EPIC!!!!!

  • Casshern is an incredible movie.

But why must everyone pair Thom with Requiem? You should do a video for Casshern using Thom or RH music like myxomatosis or something

  • never seen the film but i like the arrangement of the video...good work and this songs amazeing i love thom yorke!

  • Isn't this version of the song a remix?

  • nah, this is the original from the album

  • So are the versions of him playing on the piano only for live performances?

  • Check out Thom Wei !

    A true and exceptionnal artist

  • what's the film name?

  • Requiem for a dream. hell of a movie

  • its used in the end credits of the prestige(chris nolan)

  • Ah yes. An amazingly intense movie (with amazingly intense actors) only made all the moreso by the end credit song - This movie was a hold-your-breath type movie, and having a hold-your-breath song close it out - well, epic IMHO. A perfect experience. *everthing that includes radiohead/thom is a perfect experience.

  • yea i feel the same way i really do. i can relate in profound ways.. lol. good movie and as u guys put it, i will never watch it again.

  • juxt watched it last night, class film

  • love it.

  • best movie ive ever seen. but i will never watch it again.

  • i'm the same way, i hate it but its one of the best movies ever.

  • i feel lucky to be watching him perform live very soon :)

  • frequency? me 2^^

  • wow....I just came back to listen to this song...to get my mind off my ex getting with the guy I told to talk to her to help get over me...and I read the comments and I read....my old comment not knowing it was mine :)

    still the same.....

song is so depressing yet it cheers me up :)

  • This movie is different!, it''s not for the people who appriciate only those regular romantic comedies, this is a amazingly well done movie and very watchable. Anyway, thats how i feel about it , i just love different movies :D!

  • Perfect.

  • after 3:05 im in a trance

  • Yeah very very nice.. I too realy like it.. :P

    Keep up the good work..

  • I loved the movie and I LOVE this song, Thom Yorke is BRILLIANT!

  • Requiem for a dream was horrible. I stopped watching half way through.

  • Really? Doesn't look that bad in the video..just kinda gritty and depressing.

  • unfortunly the real world is like that and you can stop it like the movie once u started watching!!!

  • You didnt even get to the end!?!? you have no idea how horribly fucked up it all eventually gets. Darren Aronofsky FTW!!!

  • it gets you down..

  • idk dude i legit could not speak after it ended.

  • the song is the same of The Prestige!!

  • smack my ass plz!!! z

  • I know the word is overused alot these days but Thom Yorke IS a genius. This film 'Requiem for a dream' is brilliant too... one of the darkest films i've ever seen

  • song is so depressing yet it cheers me up :)

  • melancholy not depressing..just beautiful

  • @yohitman Much preferable to a cheerful song which depresses you.

  • what do you get when you put a brilliant artist who's stories move the heart with a movie that was so frightening in its depiction of reality....you get this. Heh. Brilliance upon brilliance.

  • if you want a better version of this song, watch Thom perform this live with just a piano at an awards show. its AMAZING!! its on youtube

  • The Clock thom yorke

  • this direction of this movie looks incredible? These are actual shots?

  • Yes, all shots are from "Requeium for a Dream." Darren Aronofsky is one of the most talented directors working today, unfortunately he's only made 3 feature films so far: this, "Pi" and "The Fountain."

  • i love the use of this song in The Prestige

  • @char1737 great movie...the perfecto song for the ending...

  • I like the movie, I love the Song, I liked the idea. But you could've realized it better. IMO

And also: the movie has a great soundtrack itself, and I personally have my own image of 'Analyse', so for me these two don't go together.

Sorry if you care what I think

  • one of the best movies ever made and one of the best songs ever made... great mix up!

  • Such a sublime choice of background music.

    melds perfectly with the vocal.

  • Buenísima canción.

  • love it

    cheers mate

  • I first heard this song at the end credits of "The Prestige". "Harrowdown Hill" is also a song worth a listen from the same album.

  • is that really the beggining of the song? it sounds like its missing a few seconds on the beginning.

  • it is missing almost one second at the beginning. the song starts with thom inhaling and then starting to sing. it is interesting that every file sharing version is missing that first instant of the song. when i ripped my version it was fine.

  • great song great film > FILM : Requim For A Dream

  • Love this vid.

  • Oh my god, very unlike the live version I just heard.. but both versions are incredible!

  • Thanks for the upload

  • THAT SONG INCREDIBLE WOOOW

  • neat video; I love that song!

  • Terrific movie and song!

    Both together a superb experience!

  • I liked it, it's not terrific, it's really good...

  • I think that there's no better imagery from a movie than REQUIEM FOR A DREAM to be synchronised within the song and with the song.

    Simply excellent, congratulations.

  • oooooohhh!!!

    thanx for posting this!!!!!!!

    greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat song and incredible movie!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :)

  • I'm not sure about the other songs, but I'm pretty sure Johnny accompanied him on Cymbal Rush.

  • I'm sure he was able to do this all himself. All he would need is a computer. The beats are obviously from a machine and not an actual drum kit. Mind you I'm not arguing, just saying it's highly possible that he did this all himself, other wise why would it be a solo album?

  • you dont have to do everything yourself for it to be a solo album. Just him being apart from the rest of radiohead makes it solo. working with different producers and artists doesnt mean its no him solo..as long as hes not with everyone from radiohead its solo.

  • lol people on youtube get so het up, what happened to watching and enjoying the video? but it appears starting arguements and proving points is exceeding the actual point of youtube. ahaha

  • True, it's Thom Yorke. I'm sure a Radiohead member or two are in there helping perform this, though.

  • I'm pretty sure Thom Yorke wrote all the music for this song.

  • is this a chatroom? f u let us see and hear music and not read waste... or... maybe it will be a part of this video..but..

  • No. I'm the moron.

  • reqium for a dream is a perfect video for this song. congrats on the maker of this video!

  • thats jared leto btw ^_^

  • that was brilliant...nicely edited w/ and well thought out with music...an exceptional piece, Casshern25

  • the film in the clip is "Requiem for a dream"

  • great, whats the film in the clip?

  • its true what goinmobile69 said but they earlier stuff like bedns were amazing you cant deny that

  • good song but this is the most depressing movie i have ever seen.

  • Fucking good song, fucking good film, also end the end of another good film; the presteige. :)

  • ohh i LOVEEEEEE this song and the movie too!!!!

  • awesome!!!!!

  • I think Radiohead and Thom Yorke lost their "Mmph" musically. I've been bored with Radiohead since "Hail to the Theif". Where's the peaks and valleys they used to cover like on all previous albums (except Amnesiac)? Now it all just seems like one giant boring plain.

  • Are you kiddin, the amount of musical thought and expertise that is put into these recent albums like the Eraser and Hail to the Theif is five times more than any of the preceding ones.

  • OMG if only you think synthesizers used minimally is ground breaking music then you should start a indie band and you could become a solo artist. Radiohead is dead. They were known for their experimental direction and progressive song layouts.

  • You filthy modernist! Go listen to Antheil and read Greenberg so you don't have to "waste" your time with Radiohead. (But I highly recommend the many live and acoustic vids, perhaps they can give you the intangible "peaks and valleys" you so enjoy.)

  • I listen to this and its just one second's worth of laid out music looped for the duration of the song. Throw in improv base and vocals and there u go. The new radiohead sound. Ground breaking my ass.

  • The video is depressing as hell. A schizophrenic woman being compared to 2 drug addicted people. The sort of stuff you'd expect from radiohead except they express it with a different vehicle: Techno rock. Oh well. Nothin good ever lasts.

  • uh.. this isn't a music video and a schizophernic is not being compared to drug addicts. Either read Requiem for a dream or watch the movie before you make assumptions of the sort.

  • Yes they are, the schizophrenic lady wants to be the famous person on TV. And the drug addicts want to find the high all the time. But like the song says, "No time to think things throuhg to analyse the problem." Maybe the movie is different, you idiot, but for the sake of this song, my interpretation is as valid as any other a-hole with an opinion.

  • "Yes they are... the schizophrenic lady... But like the song says... No time to ..."

No, moron. What he's telling you is, this isn't a music video. It's film cuts that some regular guy posted thom's music to. Neither Radiohead nor Thom yorke is expressing anything through this.

  • Im not the moron, you're the moron.

  • this isn't Radiohead

  • That film murdered the novel. Read the book. Song's good, though.

  • lol i didnt get the end of the prestige

  • a really good song for this movie

  • very nice...this song seems made for this movie.

  • very good!!! bravo!!

  • Funny, the vid stars Jared Letho who is now becoming famous with his band 30 seconds to mars.

  • jared leto...

  • favorite movie and favorite singer. cant get any better now!

  • Fantastic song. Got to know of this song through the end credits of the spectacular movie,The Prestige.

  • Same here. Did not know what came over me. So good!

  • This really wants to make me see requiem for a dream, gloriously done

  • It has a strange Middle Eastern quality to the vocal :-) Thom Yorke still the best!!!!

  • love it,analyse that

  • amazing song

  • I love this song! Thanks for putting this up!

  • BRAVO! MUY BIEN!!!

  • es increíblemente perfecto...

  • wrongbutbrilliant x

  • sososo clever-have eyes like piss holes in yhe snow-bed now

  • oh how i love Radiohead and Thom Yorke. Amazing song, great video mix too.

  • I agree with doof bag, requim for a dream sucks.

  • requiem for a dream sucks...

  • you are weak

  • whats this idea about life repeating itself and looking for something higher...or that moment when you feel as if your actually alive and not just living...his music is wonderful

  • i think i'm now addited to watching the videos, i've been addicted to the albuim for like a mont, didn't even tihnk about there being any video's for some reason

  • Just AMAZING!! Perfect movie.. Perfect album... ;-)

  • uh... okay... wow i really liked that song too..

  • I liked it - it doesnt matter if the video was from something else - I liked the editing and images. There is nothing wrong with mixing and matching for effect

  • THAT WAS SUCH A HEART BREAKING FILM.The music is as great as the film BUT they just don't work together.

  • Ass to ass!!!

  • FUCKIN GOOD

  • Here's that band EOHIPPUS that died in the plane crash on their way to open for Radiohead.

    So Sad.
