hey people! in this video, you see a method that i was once taught---

the grid technique.

it's where you take a picture of something and divide it into little boxes, and you look at the picture and you try to draw it.

i found it extremely confusing and a waste of time. but that's just me, other people find that technique useful.

i honestly think it's a pain in the neck, and i didn't learn anything from it(in my opinion) other people like it though.

wow I'm impressed! If anyone has any tips on drawing real people, message me please! I'm a new artist and have absolutely no training but I do have some talent! I draw anime well enough but i'm not sure how to start drawing real people... so any tips would be helpful! :]

Also, any tips on shadowing in parts of faces and making it look real?

This is why I want to learn at home. I hate college. I've already been to college and college sometimes gives you course you probably aren't interested in or don't need. I only took Graphic Design because I wanted to learn to be a better artist.
