  • Please don't get a gun, mickekeh. :P

  • @garyfromwv40 It's been eight months, and I still haven't. (But my friend Henry has one.)

  • You're cooler then I thought.

You know of the Libertines!! :D

  • @MermaidAntihero1988 I'm so cool, I'm not even going to tell you how much I enjoyed that comment. ;-)

  • Love your Ukelele playing,

  • I can't tell you how happy it makes me to hear that. You are one of the musicians I respect most.

  • your timing is impeccable.

    :D

  • I cant believe I missed this Michael. Great song and History Lesson mate.

  • Most of those celebs are dead. Good thing you included some youtubers who are still alive and kicking.

  • Nice hotel. Bit of a name-dropper though. xD

  • Great video, nice little history lesson told in a very unusual way.

Sadly most of the people on that list I had never heard of, I must be a recluse of sorts, or is it that I am not an American..!

  • LOL @Tom Milsom!

  • Mickeleh, it's been a while since i've been youtube viewing, but it is a real pleasure to return to your page, especially with these background shots. What, do you have a green screen, or blue screen, or whatever color that is screen now? It looks terrific. Thanks for taking the time to enter all of the names. This is a nice little bit of cultural history; I'm glad I know something about the Chelsea Hotel.

  • But the chorus is the best part: love that you booked a room for yourself but "forgot to book one for my muse."

There is no question, u belong among those on the list. In a day and age when it's not cool to be a self-crowned laureate, you fit yourself in nicely w/ the humility topos. It's cool that you haven't let the fact that you're a genius get in the way of being a nice guy.

Have fun in London! And please stop by the British Library to say hello to Shakespeare's First Folio for me!

  • It's true that I didn't book a room for my muse. But she showed up anyway about an hour before checkout time and gave me that line. At first, I thought she was from housekeeping and I almost didn't let her in.

  • i agree!

  • Yes. Just started working w/ chromakey (green screen). Still a little rough and glowy around the edges. I'll refine my technique after I get back from London. I bought a roll of green screen paper at the local pro photo store. and taped it to the wall. That's the easy part. What I need to work on is the lighting.

  • Mickeleh, that song was great! I guess the hotel really did rub off on you after all! :D

  • Funny how hearing your blues gives me anything but. =)

  • All those other guys are fine, but if Alice Cooper stayed there... well!

Seriously, though, what a list! I'd be tempted to go commune with Burroughs and DeKooning myself.

  • This song was inspired by the Hotel

  • your videos are pure quality entertainment, Mickeleh. You're an awesome performer.

  • your ukulele rocks

  • man...

i hate it when i forget my muse.

  • You would hate it. But I don't think you ever do. You seem to have excellent musal relations.

  • seems like you got talent to me. You have the talent to entertain, which is what you do.

  • Thanks. I appreciate that.

  • Jeff Lewis is a legend!! he featured my video for the acid song on his site and sent me his album of Crass songs to use in my vids :D

  • A very cool story. Happy to know it. I love his stuff. And I owe hexachordal much for turning me on to him.

  • A bit of blues goes a long way =)

    Awesome work Mickeleh!

  • That lonely car at the end only helped to seal this brilliance.

  • Likes it :)

  • That's quite a list of guests!

  • I know. And we were all sharing one bathroom.

  • Very awesome, Mickeleh! I love the line about forgetting to book a room for your muse.

  • Sweet job, Mickeleh!

  • yeaaaaaa booiiii!!!!!!.......

  • A comment from you makes my day. I so love your work. Hope to see you at SitC

  • sounds like an awesome hotel!

hihi, the music is the ukeleleh :D

poor muse without a room, of course she wasn't happy! Oh my all those names scrolling by!

that's amazing! I would love to see that hotel :D

but I must say I'd rather meet those people :D

  • *is in the ukeleleh :D

    stupid typo!

I liked the song :D and it must have been an amazing experience anyway, even though it's just a hotel... so odd how we can give some places a special status... well, we don't, the famous people do. Did the list just say: Tom Milsom? awesome :D

  • Sharp eyes. Yes, Tom is among the brilliant artists who have stayed at the Hotel Chelsea.

  • :D:D

  • that's awesome :D
