In my 3rd year, I bred a 90-ability filly.

Then after a race about half way through the year, Stephanie pops up and said her ability had gone up.

When I checked it, She was able to get to 94 ability!!!

Usually your lucky to get 90~

Hiya, I have just been thinking about new horses every year and when it comes to the training im hopless! Its not the same as G1 Jockey 4 on PS2... I can't train it in anything and have to leave it for the year. They are getting better with the ability but I just cant get the training done, and this is a real shame. Any advice? i has this problem to start with wat i suggest you do is each month you need to train the horse save the game then go to the training ground there will be some options for u to choose from i carnt remember what its called i know its near the bottom of the list its basically a way of practicing all of the required training needs without wasting the month i suggest you keep practicing

and then when you feel like you can complete the training task for real give it a go the more practice you do the better u will get

you will get to the point where training ur horse will get boring trust me im in year 25

Just bred a flat horse and it is to make 90 to 92 ability level

thats great within year 10-15 their is a horse called warlock or somat like that with the ability of a whopping 101 but wen eevr i breed with him with my 98 mare they only breed 80 ability so i bred a jump horse instead

warlock is a horse that likes to run at the back of the pack, so unless you like riding them (i cant remember the name) hes not a good choice. dont ask how but i got a 92 abilitied horse in the 5-6th year...

i think warlock is available from the 3rd year, or at least thats when i first saw him.

How did you get a 98 mare? Did you breed that yourself? Whenever I breed horses, I only see them start with 86 + 4 = 90. Then when Stephanie pops up and I get like an increase in stamina, I go back and hit "next week" until I get Stephanie to pop up again and say my horse's speed has drastically increased." The maximum I get is 94 for all my reared horses. I used to like "Early But Long" but now I get those "Super Long Peak" horses. I just can't figure out how to get them past 94.

i just breed only with the top mare and stallion each year even if it was my own bred horses or not the ability will go up when you as the jockey improves with each year

I am already Top Class but when I breed horses, the maximum I get is 94 ability. I am on my 20th year. When you start off with a new horse, do you start with 86 and then have 4 of those objects that look like whistles? Are you on a Wii?

try to get the horse which has the most whistles and the best number

It doesn't matter how many whistles are there. If I get one with 8 whistles (maximum), the highest number I get with it is only 82 so 82 + 8 =90. If I get one with 4 whistles, the highest that goes with 4 whistles is 86 so still equal to 90. How many times does Stephanie show up in your training? Are you on Normal Mode or Hard? Are you playing G1 Jockey on a Wii?

Im on hard. But that doesnt make a diffrence. You need to have 2 horses that have atleast 90 stats but higher is better. Then you breed those 2 horses untill you get the horse you want. Pick the highest ability. In your case 90. Now you train that horse till its perfect. If you get a training session lower than excelent just restart! And repeat till you get it excelent. Dont let the woman train your horse.

After the trainingsperiod its time to race as many races as you can. That means 1 maiden. And the rest G-1,2,3 races. Dont let your horse get 2 tired or it will get injured. When the horse ran enough races the co-trainer will come 2 you that the ability increased. Now an horse has only a few of those events! So its luck to get the right one. Because the distance can also increase!

I know that Stephanie (trainer) shows up and tells you the ability increases during the training period but not after. Are you sure she appears after the training period? She appears twice during training which if I get an ability increase twice, my horse will be a 94. If she does appear after training, then I could reach 96 maybe. I hope you are right.

yeah but you've got to be a realy good jockey. I have everything on Super and I finished the game. (You can play the game after you finished just like you did before you finished the game)

The increase will be in the first few races thats why its important 2 run as many as you can. Bu I even had an older horse. I think thats rare.

When you say "try to win as many as you can", did you mean with that newly trained horse? Or with my other horses as well? Does my total number of wins affect this new horse?

Another question is, when you said try to win as many as you can but don't allow your horse to get too tired, how many is too many? What's your standard?

I dont realy know but you can see it on your horse. If you go to your horse and its walking with its head like the one in this video he's realy rested. When the horse walks with his head in the air its a little bid tired. And if your horse is walking head down your horse is realy tired.

I have bred 2 really successful jumpers that have both won a lot of G1 races. They are both bays. One is a mare and the other is a Stallion. Will have to retire stall soon as he has gone past peak and his ability is dropping. I tried to bred a mutant for ages recently but I couldn't get one.

OK i have fount out that you come across mutants more on flat horses then jump but try breeding 2 chesnuts together for a red horse

two light grey horses for a white

and breed two really large horses ears touch the name banner to breed a 30hh horse

but as soon as you get one and breed with it you will find that near enough each horse you breed will be mutants and have the mutant gene

at the end when you win a race you know how in the G1 Jockey 3 on the PS2 how you can pet your horse how do you do that on the Wii version?

you press down on the nunchuk control to pet the horse at the end of a race do the same thing as your in the gate it calms down naughty horses

Hey just a qick tip for people wo are finding it really hard to get a mutant horse, when you go through the list of horses to breed with if you sort them by coat colour you will find that there is one white mare, breed with her as white is a mutant colour....If yu breed her with a really good stallion you shuld have a foal capable of winning a few G races =] XXX

Okay an update. I couldnt get one, I tried for ages, I thought I went past a unicrn but it was probably my imagination. I tried for ages getting a tall horse but I couldnt and I couldnt have missed it.

Bubbles has finally won the triple crown! (well done !) and I have just made a new foal which is looking like it is set to win a few G1 races. Whilst the 2nd horse I have produced looks set to wina lot more G race jump wins after storming the field on its maiden jump race. The name is Flip. :D
