Yeah, but the reason for shooting in raw is so you can have more control and edit in raw. No point in shooting raw photos if you are editing jpegs. Real photo editing software is the way to go.
False advertising that you can edit RAW. As far as I can tell, you have to click "Make a copy" to convert .CR2 into a .JPG and then edit that. So converting it handled, but if I can't make adjustments before going to JPG, what have I gained?
Help.. I still can't open my RAW files after downloading the 64 bit version of this update.. My RAW files are in CR2 format shot from a Canon EOS 600D.. Though I don't see this camera under the supported devices list, I assume the format shouldn't be any different from other Canons.. I'm using Windows 7 SP1 64 bit by the way..
@Ondro1112 That's just for the advertisement. They most likely used a Microsoft product because it was easier. It would be more difficult to make an ad with Adobe Photoshop because of legal issues and such.
this doesnt work AT ALL!!!!, i download it today and i still cant view RAW files!!!!! why wont it work, HELP please!

You really think that a photographer photographing to RAW will use Microsoft Photogallery for editing his photos? Epic fail.

@Cowguy789
Err. No. Most major raw processors do RAW > JPEG/Tiff.
