@JordyBT I would agree with you completely but the only issue I have with that statement is he is beginning to show signs of a weaker jaw, same symptoms chuck liddell had near the end of his career, and that wanderlei is having now. and I would say its completely possible for him to be champ if he had more exp in grappling (like couture), so he could fall back on that when he gets rocked, but he is a striker, and prefers to fight on his feet.

Nowadays he's over the hill but back in early Pride he was definitely a solid fighter: great wrestling, awesome punching power and an incredible chin. In fact this match was a massive upset: it was Crocop's debut and no one knew that he would start training MMA full time. Everyone though Fujita would just take him down and stomp him (which he probably would have had it not been for the cut).

Most Japanese fighters seem to be less imposing types that rely on technique to get the job done, whereas Kazuyuki is a big brute that just gets in there and mixes it up.
