Shit battle. Try Queenston Heights or Cryslers Farm. For the latter - open battle, Americans invade Canada with ~8,000 troops, British attack them with 800 and totally rout said force. Had those battles not been won, Canada would most likely be divided up to form the USA.

of the 5 major battles (by size) 3 were decisive British defeats, 1 was a victory (Camden) and the other one a draw.
Both of the big naval battles were also Royal Navy defeats. Valcour Island was a draw but bought a years time for the colonial army and the battle at the Chessapeake was of huge naval importance.

The largest battle of the war (on the continent up to that point), Monmouth was a long term American victory. The stage for Yorktown was set at Cowpens and Guilford courthouse before the French arrived as well.

Yorktown was British blunder...Clinton was up north in NY promising Cornwallis reinforcements...so Cornwallis felt confident enough to dig in.
French saw the opportunity to capture another British army like the Colonials did at Saratoga...and Washington manuevered his army right in to help. Yorktown happened because of a 3 sides cooperation almost. It wasnt the French alone at all.

Of the 3 major surrenders during the war, 2 were British
of the 5 major battles (by size) 3 were decisive British defeats, 1 was a victory (Camden) and the other one a draw.
Both of the big naval battles were also Royal Navy defeats. Valcour Island was a draw but bought a years time for the colonial army and the battle at the Chessapeake was of huge naval importance.
What do you expect other than a defeat

With all the help the United States was giving and the fact it was fought locally for the colonist you can not really say "WE" kicked their asses, The war just went to a point that it wasn't worth fighting no more for the British after losing one of their army, and that only happned because the French finally showed up and caused them to be surrounded.

60 of the 61 allied victories during the war were American...before the French arrived.
We had to convince them to actually join in the prior 5 years of fighting and they joined once the tide was turned at Trenton, Princeton and Saratoga.
The largest battle of the war (on the continent up to that point), Monmouth was a long term American victory. The stage for Yorktown was set at Cowpens and Guilford courthouse before the French arrived as well.

Yorktown was British blunder...Clinton was up north in NY promising Cornwallis reinforcements...so Cornwallis felt confident enough to dig in.
French saw the opportunity to capture another British army like the Colonials did at Saratoga...and Washington manuevered his army right in to help. Yorktown happened because of a 3 sides cooperation almost. It wasnt the French alone at all.

Not even counting the fact that it was french marine who prevented 10000 british reinforcements to arrive from the see (battle of chesapeake).
Inspite of that when Cornwallis contacted french to avoid humiliation of surrendering to rebels, french refused and he had to surrender to Washington. "French diss"?
