I believe what you've got here is a bit of a 'lift / re-working of a portion of Jerry Goldsmith's score for Kirk and Scotty approaching the Enterprise in dry dock in 'STMP'. The piece of music, here stops just short of breaking into the 'bars' we know so well, and is reminiscent of Goldsmith's first-draft score for the said 'STMP' sequence before he was asked by Robert Wise, to 'spruce-it-up-a-bit'.
The music that plays from 0:16 to 0:27 sounds vaguely familiar. I don't remember it from any of the Trek movies. Is this portion an homage to another Trek score or is this completely original?
It's a PC game and it can be played on XP and Vista but it works best on Windows 98. It is an awesome game. If you buy it, than it comes with 5 CDs or you can get it on one or two DVDs.
please spare us the REAL international space agency crap ... NASA/ISA/ESA is nothing less than an badly funded bunch of opportunists trying to change the world, only to have everything invented for space in the past 40 years to be used for some kind of military gadget :p
i'll soon be hosting all 33 cinematics of this game, BUT sadly only in german ... so if someone can give me a hint for english audios i#d be grateful to merge and put them up!
Gosh, the production values and cinematography of this game is remarkable. Hmmm, perhaps they should have made a series set at the Academy like this, rather than embarking on that ill-fated journey we know as Star Trek: Enterprise.
Wow, what a game! They just don't make them like this anymore! "Newly Digitized?" It looks just like the original...go figure. Anyway, I loved this game...if only Bridge Commander were as well-written...

Well written and acted.

For it's time, it was a great game, heh
The movie sequences were brilliant and having Shatner and Takei was awesome.

the score is really good. the game´s shitty...at least the german version.
HeliPilot1180 2 years ago
Indeed. I should have kept the english version instead of the german one. But then again: My english wasn't as good as it is today back then.

I loved this game. The Venturi ships were so easy to beat - I loved disabling them and then breaking the wing pieces of their ships.
Hard to believe I first got this game 10 years ago!

Have you actually played it on XP and vista? Im interested because, contraqry to the propaganda, Microsoft's compatibility wizard doesnt always work.
FacultyFan 3 years ago
Yes, I have Windows XP, Vista, 98, and 95. Tested it on all but 95. It works horribly on Vista, sorta good on XP, and perfectly on 98.

Someone should just edit Kirk's acknowledging the applause and have it last for about a few minutes.

This game had an amazing soundtrack. I remember that the audio CD came with the special collector's edition. Wish I could get my hands on it :(

I like the way Shatner took ages to say his line in the corridor so that Sulu couldn't get a word in.
JackTraven2525 5 years ago
I like the way his line takes on a new meaning when it gets repeated for no reason!! :D
"This is getting... longer... and longer... this feels like the 2nd time I've done this today!"
Shatner would've made a good Groundhog Day guy.

i love the 1701-A because of the wonderful scene in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home where they take it out of drydock, very emotional

They should make a DVD with all the videos from games all into one for a collection. Maybe there is one who knows.
