no way...Jyothika was better than asin as Maya... asin looks like a student not lika a teacher at all jyothika suited the role perfectly, esp since she looked far more mature and jyothika and surya's chemistry was a lot better than the chemistry between venky and asin.... i mean jo was 24 and surya was 29 (5yr age gap) whereas asin was 19 and venky was 44 (25yr age gap) mn that says it all about their chemistry in the film...

I agree with on that...it would have been impossible for anyone to reprise Surya's role. Gautham should have just dubbed the original movie in Telugu. And this song is awful when compared to the original Tamil Ondra Iranda. That song was sensuous. And no, Asin could not repeat Jo's performance either because Surya and Jo were in love and that chemistry was out of this world
