Hey Guys why my game laggs??

When wheather changes it laggs like hell. And i get fps like 19-20. I have seen older pc's running at high settings and getting around 35 fps. My specs.... I have Intel core i3 2nd gen @ 3.30 GHz SANDY BRIDGE and 3 GB OF RAM WITH AN AMD HD 6450 DX 11 GRAPHICS CARD. MY PC HAS POTENTIAL BUT I DONT KNOW WHY IT LAGS??? AND EVEN IF I REDUCE ALL SETTINGS TO LOW I GET 25 FPS PLZ HELP ME!!!!

the bad thing about pc gaming is that keyboard is not sensitive when accelerating. you find yourself tapping the button to go slower, that isnt a lot of fun

R* games really dissapointed us when they released GTA IV.. It uses too many resources.. makes it run like shit, even if you have a good PC, even better that the medium system requirements the game has. For me, I had a shitty PC, and GTA IV worked well on medium settings. Now, a way better PC, I can put everything on high, even on low, and works like SHIT!

They tried to get to celeron 5970, but still not playable. GTA IV is a CPU game... i have E7400 Core 2 Duo @ 3.41 Ghz with Msi Hawk 5770 and the game was never smooth..

@stefy747 That still isn't gonna cut it. I got a 8600GTS 256MB and an Athlon X2 2.7Ghz with 4GB of memory in my second pc and GTA 4 just doesn't run on that. You will need at least an Core 2 Duo E8500 and an Radeon HD5770 to run GTA on medium settings ;)

I'm running GTA 4 on an Core i5 750, 4GB of memory and an 1GB Geforce GTX460 and it runs at about 40fps on high settings

@stefy747 (512K Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) ...Your CPU. and FSB/DRAM speeds. the 4550 only had 512mb video ram too. You need ideally 2GB Vram. And that is NOT 2 x 1GB Xfire or Sli. This game is very CPU intensive, So I'd suggest buying atleast a Quad core.

Other than that, I run 6 core 1090t @ 4.5ghz on a 6970 2gb xfx ati card with 12gb ddr3 1600 mhz and... Still isnt perfect. Its a rubbish game, bad development and absolutely rubbish "port" to pc.
