i finished abrsm so im doing this competition whose name escapes me
but i only have three months to learn a chopin etude, a bach prelude&fugue, and a mozart sonata (well that one hardly matters cause i learned it before)
1) When learning a new piece, always play with STRONG, and i mean STRONG, fingers (don't worry about dynamics) and NO NO NO NO NO pedal (i can't stress that enough). Keep practicing over and over again with strong fingers and don't get out of that habit. Then, when you feel that it is nice and smooth, increase the tempo. Slowly increase it until at the point where you feel the tempo is correct, then add some pedal. If you do come accross a section that

forgive me i'm only a 14 year old but i've learned this piece for weeks now and now it inside out :P
and also on the adagio part (beginninng section), at the f sharp major chord that plays 3 times before the modulation into d major, you played the a sharp on the thumb in RH as an a natural, so it sounded like an f sharp minor chord, just thought u wanted to know :P
