1southernbelle for u Hi , sorry I got back to you so late. But I think of this Band as GREAT!! LIKES OF JIMMY HENDRIX, SRV, KENNY WAYNE, JOHNNY LANG!! <3
I recently discovered KWS. He does have a lot of obvious talent inspired by the greats. SRV of course. BB King. G N R. Jimmy. Eric Clapton. I find his newist lead singer to have a stronger deeper blues tone to his voice. Of course thats just my opinion. This guy sounds great too. Love his tone. Oh and to the guy that said he sold out to strat. There is no other way to go! Just ask the legends of Blues.
You don't get this great without greatness teachin you this kid got to play with some of the greats while in his younger years BB King SRV Albert King Buddy Guy Robert Crey on and on and on KWS ROCKS
@MrRoxxstar Im not a BIeber fan, but it's people like you that are bringing him fame. You want people to stop bringing him up, but you constantly comment on videos of good music with his name. Your just bringing him more fame. I came to listen to KWS, not read about your rants on Bieber. Leave the kid alone. He's just doing what he loves, making music, and people kill him for it. It's people like you who bring him fame with your ranting. Just stop.
I've discovered this guy when i started to get hooked on blues, just about 5years ago.Since that i heard a lot of blues songs(including some very good live performances in Amsterdam and Budapest),but Kenny is still in my top10,and he is climbing.Keep up the good work, you are already a hero to me!
Holy Crapoly! That is Corey Sterling! I so love his voice, he was so kind and nice to me when I saw them jam at Rockfest in Wisconsin in 1999. Love Kenny Wayne, this is an awesome team!
Kenny Wayne Shepherd sounds more like SRV than any other guitarist that I've heard live. He did a show at Antone's in Austin this month and Chris Layton was drumming (Double Trouble drummer). Deja Voodoo doesn't sound as much like an SRV song as some others (shame, shame, shame), but it's a great blues song. My dad saw SRV live, and he was at that KWS show with me, and he agreed that he sounds like Stevie.
Man, this was trying to awake Stevie Ray Vaughn, sorry Kenny, don't think there will be another SRV and the audience is not out there for Blues rock as it used to be. I'm still a fan though man, great guitar licks.
This song is the fourth track on Kenny's new live album. It is just awesome, far and away my favorite track on the album. Different arrangement for the piano really backs Kenny well. Noah does a great job but for this song I think I do like Corey's voice a bit more. But Kenny just absolutely kills it - even better than on this video.
I got the CD the day it came out (9/28) and in 12 days I've probably played this 24 times.
@sheesalookerr WHAAAAAAATT?????????? noah is a good singer but corey sterling has the real soul blues voice, he has passion, what is he doing these days?
@pibepuga You know, you're kind of right, too. His voice is rockin'! Intense voice! Fantastic sound! Actually, they both sound similar. Kenny remains the same, hair shorter these days! Great sounds all around!
@walk4trot2canter3 jajaja i really liked your salomonic answer, thanks but I keep thinking of corey as a better vocalist, in fact he's more "handsome" (I'm not gay or anything like that jaja) and has more style than Noah. Otherwise, You can't imagine how I love this song, it is one of my favourites in the world and I couldn't stop till I got to learn every damn solo (and I learned it :D)
@walk4trot2canter3 I saw them with Noah, too. Boston- 2001? Stumbled upon a free concert (earth day- didn't even know it was earth day! Great line-up at the Hatch Shell)- it was rainy, so the crowd was thin. Got front and center. They were unreal. Love Noah.
@JenniferPresents I saw them at a free concert, too. It was around the same time. But for us, the weather was perfect and so was Noah, singing and everything!!!
Yes KWS is very good indeed! I read that his dad took him to see SRV when he was little. Stevie picked him up out the audience and sat him on his amp to watch him play. He was hooked and his dad bought him a guitar the next day.
Goin' to see Kenny Wayne Shepherd for the 5th time tonight in Muskegon at a Biker Fest,.... this is the 1st I've watched this video,..... Ohhhh Smokin' Hottt,.... Kenny plays with such Passion,..... it will be awsome,... 90 and smokin' hot rock,... Ohhhh Yeahhhh
Love this vid of blues phenom, Kenny Wayne Shepard. New to me, discovered, thanks to a photo I viewed in Joann Seaver's amazing photographs. Corey Sterling is the vocalist. If you can't listen to the whole thing, fast forward to about 2:20 and listen from there. Wonderful song!
Am I seeing right? Is that Johnny Lang playing with Kenny Wayne? Both great!
