  • Wow, you must break a lot of rods doing that.

  • @baldieman64 In one year I broke 3 rods worth about $500 on snakeheads.

  • Shane, arent there jobs to fish out snakeheads? Gosh id love a job like that

  • @Getsome472 The FWC has a squad of shock boats that work to kill snakeheads.

  • Why do you free the need to kill snake heads. Do you hate then that much.

  • @rico300zx There is no hate. Unfortunately for the snakehead.......they have landed on the invasive species list for the U.S.A. The Florida Fish and Game, which sets all fishing rules and regulations in my state, has declared a kill order on the snakehead. It was a good question....but you jumped to a wrong conclusion or a bad assumption. Thanks for watching.

  • where u fishing at

  • @TheShadowking49 C-14 in Broward County

  • where is that canal located?

  • @ChrisRhodesAnderson Chris its C-14 in Broward County. Plenty of boat ramps to put in at. Kill em all!

  • @captainshane100 done deal. whats the best thing to catch them on this time of year?

  • @ChrisRhodesAnderson I would always use either a spinner bait (but it will get destroyed) or a rubber frog. Use a frog like a Zoom Horny Toad or Ragetail frog. If you really want to piss off the snakehead use a JD'sCustomBaits frog. You can google them, they are in Davie. It's the only bait I go snakeheading with.

  • @captainshane100 thanks captain shaun. would you by any chance know a good place to fish from the shore for these guys? i dont own a boat nor do i know anyone who does.

  • @captainshane100 thanks capain shane. would you know a goo place to fish for these guys from shore? i dont have a boat nor do i know anyone who does.

  • what type of gheenoe boat is that

  • @L4DTg It is the Gheenoe "Super 16". It is a really versitile rig.

  • I fish that canal in my kayak. I used to live in that apartment complex. There's lot's of bass in there too.

  • @ridgehand Big Bass for sure!

  • @captainshane100 I always found that pitching a weightless finess worm around the walls works great in that spot. When I used to fish the bank over there I would cast across the canal on to the wall or bank and let my bait drop it. The bass just smash it!

  • u ever been bit b4

  • @MrNetbait123 never been bit. i try to stay away from the teeth.

  • Theyre good eating right?

  • @tisoy909 delicious!

  • you do kill them right

  • @greenilizer kill as many as i can get to the boat!

  • u just crack there neck i guess

  • hey captain shane whats a great reel to cast lures extremely far ?

  • @darknessfalls714 I use the Shimano Curado E7 (which is now discontinued) with 40# braid. The secret is having ennough parabolic flex (it allows you to load up) in the rod and a heavy enough bait. I normally fish with a 3/4oz. frog. If I'am going light I'll use a Shimano Saros 2500 or a Shimano saros 3000 with 10# Test mono. Good question!

  • @captainshane100 a fishing buddy i met is selling me a used shimano citica for 45 dollars is that good ? im going to try it out first then buy it what settings should i have it on ?

  • Ok cool, I couldn't remember if it was a 40 or a 50. I've wanted to ride in one of those 'noes with the big motors for a while. I've got a low tide 25 with the same specs except the back the where you have your cooler, is a livewell and I have a tiller 25 merc. Btw I'm gheenwithenvytwo on custom gheenoe. Real nice boat you got.

  • @captainshane100, ya that's cool, I couldn't quite tell which gheenoe it was since I only saw the bow and the riptide. I've always wanted to fish for snakehead in Florida so when I recognized your name and the gheenoe I thought tht was cool! so is that the black super with the 40 mercury?

  • @shutupandreel1 It is the black one with a 50 2smoke Mercury. has a center console, rear deck with built in storage and cooler, low front deck and a livewell. Its pretty well loaded and pushes 3 grown men and gear at close to 40mph. Run all day on less than 7 gallons of fuel. Not bad for a canoe on steroids..lol

  • Awesome vid and gheenoe!! Low tide 15 or 25? Ive seen your boats on custom gheenoe, awesome!

  • @shutupandreel1 It is actually the "Super 16" Gheeneo. Glad you enjoyed the vid and the boat. Thank you for watching.

  • tell that bird to shut up!!!!

  • U should make a fishing T.V. show

  • @demacksful I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @captainshane100 'Cause I kno I'd watch it :)

  • Snakeheads also like spinner bait run parallel to the bank. The snakehead will be within 3 feet of the shoreline.

  • All Snakeheads are Asian. Just saying.

  • Remedy2222, you are welcome. Keep on killing!

  • Hey thanks a lot Capt. Shane. I live in Sunrise near Sunrise Lakes. I saw your vids and Whoa I had no idea how many snakeheads are in the canal here. Now Im Steady catching and killing snakeheads daily. Awesome fun, and the kids love it! Thanks again.

  • I live in Hernando would love to make a trip down there and catch some.

  • Nice vid, very entertaining, thinkin' of going down there sometime.

  • MegaGrandSlam at this time there are no snakeheads north of broward county.

  • do you know if snakeheads are in new smyrna beach florida

  • BrandanKu3, I am using a Shimano Cumara 7-2" Med/Heavy/Fast Action. They are pricey but I like them and they have an excellent warranty. Thanks for watching.

  • what kind of fishing poles are you using???

  • Nice Shane.Get them snakeheads!

  • If you gys want to kill some snakeheads on your own, just find any piece of water in the Tamarac, Sunride, Parkland, Margate areas. You can walk the banks or launch boats. If launching a boat I suggest the Markham Park area or the Broward canal (C-14). You can google earth for better pics of the area. Good luck and kill em all!

  • @captainshane100 what is the ULTIMATE lure for snakehead? pleaseee tell me!

  • @MrNuggy420 top water frog, any color.

  • @captainshane100 any time of day? I went to c-14 canal/veterans memorial park with a kopper frog and they didnt bite. matter of fact the didnt bite anything! we had to find them sitting close to shore and drop a trick lizard right in front of there face. and as soon as they ate it... they spit it! you only have a second to set the hook! I just need a few tips to help me catch more snakes if you can please!?

  • @MrNuggy420 Not familiar with Veterans Park. Here is what I do. Top water plastic frog tossed parallel to bank. If they do not hit keep moving down shoreline! Keep moving, do not stay in one place. You can drive along Atlantic and get out at any of the little canals that run towards the C-14. Fish those and when you are on C-14 just keep walking and casting. One more thing...any apartment, residential, or business complex in the are Will hold the snakeheads. Just keep trying and you'll hook up!

  • address pleez

  • I'd love to catch these and eat em'! I hear they're good eating...

  • no like others snake head fisheries in the area for snake head maybe on in miami i have been checking the different canals in my area. and not a single snake head.

  • Start Revealing, I mentioned the boat ramp and the intersection.
