  • Levon, There just is not any music, drums, voice, band, etc. that can compare with yours. You are my music hero. I am 73 years old and nobody is as good as you yet.

  • thank you for the service tank man.i too love the band and levon helms.hes not a real bad actor!! but i love to hear him sing and bang the drums!!

  • What an humble man! I began listening to The Band in 1969. I was a very young teenager and fell in love with Levon"s singing and his playing. I still listen to his music and watch his videos every day. There will never be another Levon. When God was handing out talent, He gave Levon an extra portion. His music has touched my heart so many times.

  • A great musician and artist and one hell of a man.

  • very touching! Keep rocking My friend levon! Kit

  • I am 83 years of age. I was introduced to Mr. Helms singing voice and The Band in 1969 via my daughter, who is deceased now. Thank you for your music Mr. Helm.

I was in the Tank Destroyers in the Army in the philipine Islands during WW II. I saw a film clip of Mr. Helm talking to a WW II Marine who was wounded during the war but I cant find the clip again. The Mans name was Mr. Gill. At any rate I'd like to say "sempter fi" to him and everyone who ever served in the military. Thank you all.

  • Yes, thanks Mr. Gill and everyone who was drafted or joined the military to fight for the U.S. in every war we have ever been in. Especially Viet Nam.

  • @MrArthurAllen You can watch a video called Poor old dirt farmer. He is talking to Mr.Gill in that one.Seems to be they turned out to be good friends.

  • this guy is beloved , and with good reason

  • I saw him twice last summer and he was amazing both times. Maybe my favorite of the summer. He had so much fun up there and had so much energy that everyone watching had to have a great time too!!!

  • I love Levon Helm.... His story is just as important than any other music legend of our time.... Thank you for taking the responsibility to share this piece... Peace, George

  • he's the best...

  • I love him...my hero....

  • This is the type of role model our children need these days.

  • God Bless Levon! One of the all time greats.

  • i recently saw him at his house in woodstock at a midnight jamboree he was great. he had so much energy and sounded great

  • **cries** Oh Levon

  • Just saw Levon at the LC in Columbus, OH. What a man! he rocks.

  • god katie says "Leevon"

  • LEVON! You look old. This makes me sad. Forever I will remember THE BAND as they were in the LAST WALTZ! One of the best singers of all time. Danko and Helm, how can you beat that?

  • what about richard? everyone forgets him, thats probably why he killed himself what a tragedy.

  • He is old and survived a major bout with cancer. The man is 68 years old and ALIVE. Thats to be celebrated, not looked at with sadness!

  • We love you, Levon.

Best wishes from your fans in Brazil.

  • Very best wishes to a man who has given so much to so many, and thanks for posting.

  • I hear that he's doing great and has a party/paid concert at his barn in upstate New York nearly every week!

I hope that he and Robbie Robertson will one day get over their differences and reconcile.

  • From my knowledge The Band wrote their song together, and then they go drinking. Then Robbie put his name on it. And he is getting all the royalties. Thats the problem why Levon would never speak to Robbie before he shares the royaltys.

    Vflem.
