I've got to get out there with my kayak. My only fishing on the Brazos has been flyfishing for the trout they release by the hatchery there and sandies at Tin Top. Just got the yak last October and had to wait for warmer weather. Well it's here and the spring run is starting to heat up everywhere so it's heaven on earth right now. Been doing very well below Eagle Mountain catching crappie for three weeks now. The kayak is the best money I ever spent. Love it.
@rockcrawler23 Place called Vances Camp on the Trinity River. The camp is closed now but you can still park legally and carry to the river between the E and W bound bridges there. What kind of rigging do you prefer? I have had very good luck with a 1/16 oz. jighead below a bobber loaded with White and charteuse tripletail grub.
@Cantrememberjack I like that combo as well as white/red, white/blue and black/chartreuse. If those aren't working I will sometimes try live bait (crappie minnows).
