I am so glad you confirmed what I thought to be true...I don't ever want to come across as being a Bey hater because I love her and have been a fan since she was with Destiny's Child; but I saw the previews for this movie and the concept was excellent but the excitement was dampered by her inability to metamorphose into her character. I feel this way not because she is a singer but like you said, she didn't make me forget who she is...like Mos Def does almost every time I watch his movies.

Uum, Beyonce couldn't care less what one person has to say.
She's already way beyond where she wants and needs to be in her life.

The movie has already gotten mixed reviews for other people, so what I have to say shouldn't really hold any type of clout.
I'm just one person venting about the movie I disliked and felt it was poorly done overall.
And I also said "she's not a good actress as far as cold reading yet" to me.
I still have hope for her.
I'm not saying she'll fail.
I just felt the role she played didn't cause her to come out of her comfort zone.

If a movie is that horrible why tell them to buy it on bootleg. They shouldn't even see it at all in your opinion.... Don't even waste your time seeing the movie according to him. Why buy it on bootleg when you can catch an early movie before 5pm and its half price? That is what you should do if you feel his review helps you. If the cast of this film was not appealing to the eye I would have just walked out of the theater. A friend begged me to see it and the only reason I went was because she offered to pay. "Beyonce" as a name and over the top persona is almost too much to dial down and that was definitely evident in this movie. You are right in everything you said man. To me this movie was beyond a hot mess and I really am not seeing how it managed to be at the top of the box office this weekend. Ugh! lol
