  • stfu...u are way to freaky, calm down

  • I was excited. And this is my channel. If I choose to freak out and be excited over a book series being turned into a tv series, I will. :)

  • god, i'm terrified if there is a tv/movie it's gonna b tonk! lets face it lotr asside fantasy crossovas have been rubbish!

not sure id b as happy about it all as you threeofthree

  • Well, HBO has done well with Charlaine Harris' books. :) Or so I hear from the book fans.

  • Yup yup, it tis a mighty fine time to be a high fantasy fan! Got Robin Hobbs Dragon Keeper, George RR Martins A Dance With Dragons, And Robert Jordan's A Memory Of Light all coming out around the same time! And now BOTH A Song Of Ice And Fire AND A Wheel Of Time will be on the screen soon! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!! Though Im not too happy about TOR splitting the last book in A Wheel Of Time into three parts. That was not Robert Jordan's dieing wish!

  • I haven't read any Robin Hobb books yet. I believe I own one though for the future.

I haven't heard about A Wheel of Time being on the screen. I shall go look it up right now! Thank you for mentioning it! :D

  • Yeah Hobb is one of my all time favorite authors. She is right up there with Martin and Jordan. Start with the Farseer trilogy the first of three trilogy's based in the same world. It's well worth the read and the books are full of action and hard to put down. Though its probably the most melancholy bitter sweet high fantasy you will ever read.

  • I loved the first book in the Farseer trilogy. Thank you for the push to read it. :)

  • I read somewhere that theyre making it in the uk, but I didnt know where they meant. I hope they do it here in scotland - cos if they do I will be forced to track them down and jump excitedly up and down :D

I really hope it turns out as good as Rome! And I hope they get someone good to play the Hound! You know what? Pullo from Rome would probs do a good job :P :D

  • I hope so too. :D My friend Tommy gave me a link to a blogspot that has tons of information on it. I'll send you a message with the link. :)

  • Thanks! :D Thats really nice of you

  • You're welcome. :)

  • Wow you're crazy.

My brother thought I was watching a porn movie while I was watching you're video.

You sound close to an orgasm... well you probably were.

Ever thought about becoming a porn star?

  • Yes, the thought has crossed my mind on many occasion. :P But the number of times I'd have to lube up isn't really appealing. I may like to walk in the rain but that doesn't mean I would like to do it on a daily basis. You know what I mean?

Anyway, I guess I should have composed myself before making this video but I was simply too excited. :D

  • Yeah, you probably should've.

I just read my comment again and saw that it sounds really offensive. It was never meant that way, sorry.

Hope you didn't take offense ;)

And yeah, I was pretty excited too when I heard about the asoiaf show, even though I'm afraid they'll ruin it. Just like "Legend of the seeker". A good example how you can make a crap show from an awesome book.

  • haha No offense taken. I was very amused with your comment. Twas a great thing to wake up to. :D

I've watched three episodes of the "Legend of the seeker." It was really sucky. I really hope ASOIAF turns out amazing. I'd go more crazy then I did in this video. ;P

  • The more you expect the more disappointed you'll be, trust me ;)

A tv show never has budget for great special effects or amazing settings or really good actors. So what you'll get is a decent tv show with actors who totally DON'T look the way you've pictured them in your mind and scences not nearly as epic as in the books.

    You know nothing ThreeofThree ;D

  • hahaha I could care less how the actors look or how bad the special effects are in the tv show. But will the actors be convincing? Will they fit? That's what I'm concerned about, sjz88. ;P

  • Well, that's exactly what I mean. The actors will NOT be convincing since they can't afford really good actors for a TV show (well, Lost actually managed to get amazing unknown actors but I don't dare to hope of another 'Lost-like' show). And the acting will be a really important part in asoiaf.

I want either a really good show (like lotr ^^) or none at all.

Maybe I'll never watch the show at all :/

  • Don't say that or you'll jinx it! :P Jk

You can wait to watch the show. There will be reviews of it. And plus I'm going to watch it and then make a video saying what I thought was good or bad about the show. :)

  • Alright I'll wait for your video. I just subscribed anyway ;)

And I only care about reviews by other fans of the books since only they know what to expect of the show :P

  • Very true. I never look at expert reviews. I only look at fan reviews.

    And thanks. :)

  • LOL just let it out Ashley! I can tell you were trying to hold back =P. Have you read Twilight and, if so, heard about the movie? You probably have! my friends and I are going to camp out and make sirts that just say "tent scene" on them, if you have read the third book.

  • Chyeah, I know! I'll be there the first day too! haha I JUST read the third book and I know exactly what you're talking about...:)

  • I'm also a big fan of ice and fire and i really hope they'll make a series as good as they made rome, but the article you read is a year or more old... the series hasn''t picked up steam yet,so let's cross our fingers so that they'll consider it more seriously

P.S. i was as excited as you :)

  • hehe I know. This was just my initial excitement. I literally read that comment at two in the morning, found the article, then threw together this video. :D

I shall cross my fingers! :)

  • So happy for you!! hahaha I can only imagine how happy you are, looks like you're the most excited I've evahh seen you =]

  • hehehe It may be the most excited you've seen me but...I can get MORE excited than I was in this video. XD

  • I thought you were going to tell us something terrible because of how excited you were X_x But I'm glad it was good news. And if HBO is making the series, then I'm pretty sure that it'll be amazing! Yay for you!

  • Excitment=terrible? I thought Excitement=happiness=good news. :D

  • Sorry, I used that word in a wrong way. I should have written "agitated". But it most defenitively is good news!

  • That sounds cool. I hope they air it in europe aswell.

  • If not, I'm sure it will be on the interwebs. That's where I plan to watch it. I don't have cable. :(

  • Oh Ash! I was just sitting down to write you an email and there was a video from you!!

So exciting to see you excited! That's awesome when your favourite books are made into movies! I hope they do it justice, word for word.

    So cute - retro Ash!

  • I was messing around with effects in Adobe Premiere. It was soooo much fun. :D

  • Yay! Sooooo exciting!! Thanks for doing the research my friend! :)Tom.

  • No, problem. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for telling me about it! :)
