Keine Gasturbine. Diese Triebköpfe hätten größere Lufteinlässe oben auf der Nase. Gab ja eh nur 4 stück und diese wurden bereits anfang der 80er ausgemustert und bis auf ein Exemplar verschrottet.
I would love to someday get enough money to open a classic train line maybe from Michigian to Florida and run nothing but classic streamliners like this one and steam.
@Duncan038 In 1957 the VT 11.5 entered service in Germany to run the latest luxury and high speed TEE destinations to the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland and later on also to Milan, Italy. In 1979 they retired from scheduled services to seasonal passenger charters until 1988 and were then sold completely to Italy. Apart from two static displayed stocks at Augsburg and a single power car at Nürnberg rail museum there´s no one of these wonderful trains left in Germany.
@buster898 no, this was diesel powered, only 2 sets were equipped with gas turbine but it proved to be inefficient and on train was scrapped and other is in Deutsche Bahn museum,
