Fun Fact: In the comics the only thing that was able to kill an abstract (what Galactus is) were the Many Angled Ones (Marvel's version of the Elder Gods from Cthulhu mythos) when the Cancerverse opened up. Dormammu also once had a fight with an abstract (Eternity I think?) and held his own. Though he's ridiculously strong, Galactus isn't the most terrifying thing in the Marvel universe by far. Ghost Rider... Doesn't compare though.
@37DarkHunter Oh yeah, can't believe I forgot him. With the Infinity Gauntlet he can alter reality and do more or less whatever he wants. A bit of a spoiler for the Thanos Imperative, but he managed to destroy the entire Cancerverse just by using his head. And that was without the gauntlet.

Also, ghost rider it is a demon and a mortal at the same time which might cause galactus some confusion. The penance stare usually causes severe damage to the soul of the one receiving it, so for galactus who has ended innumerable lives, his soul would likely be completely destroyed.

Before I saw this, I honestly never thought Galactus would be susceptible to the Penance Stare. Galactus is a god, for all intents & purposes. This is just plain stupid guys. Galactus is above good and Evil. he doesn´t feel guilty for anything, he´s a Space-God for god´s sake. The In-Betweener tried a similar trick back then and failed.

I know he's worked with Blade. Vampires only come out at night just like Ghost Rider, but they can't drain plasma from him because when he's Ghost Rider....he has no plasma!

how badass is ghost rider? All the super heros used their special powers than involve hitting and Glactus didn't go down. Ghost Rider shows up and all he has to do is stare at him. Fuck Yeah!

@arcngl129, I don't see why he couldn't do this in the comics, either. WWH (Hulk at one of his most poweful levels), King Thor, Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, and a few others are not Galactus-level, but they can get there, or at least compete (or and Dr. Strange at his best as well)

Before I saw this, I honestly never thought Galactus would be susceptible to the Penance Stare. Galactus is a god, for all intents & purposes. But I guess it all makes sense in the end; Galactus is a sentient being with a conscience (well, sort of), and Ghost Rider's 'stare works on the target's conscience.....and God help that target if his conscience is guilty. xD

Hey I'm not too big fan like you guys ok? I watched some marvel shows like X Men Evolution,Spiderman Animated Series,Teen Titans,and to this day Young Justice. I know Apocalypse and The Beyonder since I watched the shows that I listed for you and I know Dr.Mannathan and Silver Surfer since I watched the movies that had them in it.So I really don't know who Galactus is.

@DarkSpiral183 Galactus was originally an alien called Gideon who lived at the end of the previous universe and survived it's collapse. But when the new universe began, it took Gideon and transformed him into Galactus. Galactus has a purpose in the Universe, nobody knows what it is, but it's an important one.

@Frostygaze No, I prefer Apocalypse to be normal-sized as a playable character to appear in UMVC3 along with Onslaught (normal-sized, Marvel), Thanos with Infinite Gauntlet, Anakaris (Darkstalkers), Abyss (normal-sized, MVC2), Zog (Breath of Fire), and others as future characters.

but anyways, for galactus, even though he's like the most powerful being in the universe, he can still be beaten. he was once defeated by the pheonix force once
